Problem Definition

An electronic learning activity includes all forms of electronically supported in learning and teaching and including educational technology. E-learning often involves both out-of-classroom and in-classroom educational experiences via technology applications and processes.

AMA Computer College – Parañaque Campus is one of the schools having a computer-based learning/training. The “Life, Works and Writings of Jose Rizal” is one of the subjects that must enrol of regular sophomore students. This subject is a webcast, it means that lectures/lessons, quizzes and major exams are taken online which internet connection must needed. In this matter, not all of our students can use internet connection for some reasons. So, the researchers proposed a system that will be helpful not only for the sophomore students but also to other students who wants to learn regarding in this subject.

The researchers take the opportunity in making a desktop application about “The Life, Works and Writings of Jose Rizal” using visual basic 2012. We choose this kind of application because the students can use it with or without internet connection.

Issues 1. Some students have a hard time in seeking their lessons. 2. A student does not complete the requirements for their subject because of lack of communication with their instructors. 3. Some sort of students thinks that this subject is not so important. So, they take the subject easy and lightly.

Objectives 1. To gain more knowledge about the course subject. 2. To help students in accessing the lessons in convenient way. 3. To prevent the student and instructor in having a conflict time during classes. 4. To provide e-learning system through the use of visual basic.

Requirements 1. The system must be a user-friendly and easy to access. 2. The students must register to have an access to the system. 3. Does not need internet connection.
