Part 1: Professional Goals
Professional Introduction I plan on obtaining my Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in leadership and organizational change in four years. My educational goals are as follows: to receive the advanced essential training in qualitative research methods to strengthen my researcher and give a theoretical base to my work, secondly I would like to gain insight in quantitative research in order to become a well balanced scholar-practitioner. A Ph.D. with years of work experience in my chosen field will enable me to start mentoring programs in health and business applications for leaders of tomorrow.
Professional and Academic Background I am currently the Regional Manager for The Fitness Group NY located in New York City, New York. My company provides an integrated assortment of programs, services and products including sales and service of strength and cardio equipment, training, group fitness classes, and personal training and health seminars. Our clientele base is ranges from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. The Fitness Group NY embodies a general principal of continuous education for the staff and the community as a whole to promote wellness solutions for every lifestyle. Part of The Fitness Group NY's mission statement on the web site reads, “Our mission is to provide educational, functional and inviting, friendly and entertaining experience of uncompromising quality that exceeds the health and fitness needs of our community” (The Fitness Group, 2010). I graduate from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1996. In 2008 I received my MBA from University of
