Explaining A Zombie Apocalypse
How I would handle a zombie apocalypse is when it all starts to happen when everyone goes crazy. I would first go to a grocery store and get as much as food cans as possible. From what I have watched of The Walking Dead you do not want to be in town because that is where all the zombies will be. So I would probably go out to Concordia, Kansas where we have land and live with my grandpa if i'm with my dad. If i'm with my mom then I would go to my grandma's house right outside of Concordia or with my grandpa gary on my mom's side to Jamestown. To have a zombie apocalypse start would be very stressful I would think. Especially for me. I would probably go with my mom because my dad would probably go to salina for my Aunt and then go to my grandpas

Zombies have taken over. They dominate television shows, movies and anything else related to pop culture and have become increasingly more popular as the years progress. Whether it’s a mob of zombies sucking the brains out of a helpless victim on the big screen or zombies terrorizing families on television shows, it is hard to ignore the gory entourage. Fans of zombie lore generally fall into two categories: those who are attracted to the popularity of zombies and see them as purely amusement and those who not only are amused by zombies, but can also see the possibility of fiction becoming reality. The possibility of a zombie apocalypse is very real and terrifying; and most of the population simply wouldn’t survive. No one is safe. Now is the time to prepare and learn about the potential threat and to ensure--above all else-- survival.…

George R. R. Martin’s short story about zombies does not focus on the zombie apocalypse as so many stories and movies do in today’s popular zombie culture. In what can only be assumed to be a far distant future, Martin’s zombies are surgically altered humans whose brains have been replaced by a synthetic alternative. This turns these formerly alive humans into form of cheap, or slave, labor that is exploited on planets where most humans are either unwilling, or unable to work (Martin, 2008). Martin’s zombies in this story harken back to the origins of the modern zombie mythos. Those being derived from the African slaves who toiled on the sugar plantations of Hatti (Estes, 2012). I do not think it is any coincidence that Martin’s zombies are…

The climate of Syria makes the country an inhospitable land for zombies. According to the CIA World Factbook, Syria is mostly desert with a climate that is characterized by long summers with hot, dry, sunny weather. This makes it difficult for zombies to survive as zombies decay faster in the heat. Additionally, Syria can be divided into three different climate zones, all of which are unfavorable for zombies. The coastal regions have a mild Mediterranean climate with a dry summer, with the warmest month above 22°C and the coldest month between 18 and -3°C.…

“I think the fascination behind post-apocalyptic societies allows people to live out a fantasy of invulnerability. There are more people who believe they could survive a zombie apocalypse, than there are people who would think they’d die early for example,” Nicholas Finch, an editor at The Demopolis Times said.…

When asked what people fear the most in a national survey, the number one answer was public speaking. I call hogwash. The threat of zombie apocalypse should be the instant answer. I don’t know about other people but I‘ve seen the movies. Humans are one failed attempt at curing cancer away from losing our heads, because zombies eat brains. Nothing in this world should be scarier than facing that prospect. In these dark times of fear and uncertainty, it is always handy to know what to do. As with any other state emergency, the zombie apocalypse is no different; humans must stick to their “how to” and survive.…

The myth of zombies has been debated for centuries and has brought about insane creative ideas about the unknown. Over time creative geniuses have looked to share their thoughts on the zombie myth through video games, comic books and television shows. One of the newest television shows that depicts a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies is AMC’s The Walking Dead. The setting of The Walking Dead takes place in a world in which a massive, fatal, and gore filled disease has killed a majority of civilization on earth and has forsaken whomever that is left to fight to survive against the flesh eating, walking zombies and the other people that are also trying to live. The very first episode, “Days Gone Bye”, allows the audience to share the introduction to the post-apocalyptic world with the main character of the show, Rick Grimes, and build a strong bond between the audience and Rick Grimes because it is both of their first experiences with the new world.…

First, as everyone who still has a functioning brain knows, a survivor's hiding place needs to be heavily stocked with the necessities: food, weapons, food, medicine, food, clothes, hygienic supplies, and of course, food. Logically, the best place to find such items, in vast quantities, would be Retail stores or Superstores, such as Wal-mart, Sam's Club, or Costco. These stores usually operate within a large building perfect for keeping out those pesky zombies and keeping one's brain out of their stomachs. This choice in accomodation also comes with the benefit of the usual surrounding stores which could prove very beneficial if one finds themself running out of certain supplies. For example, my local Sam's Club has a neighboring Gamestop, and who could say that they could do without some entertainment, as well as practice on virtual zombies before the encounter with the physical ones.…

"The Walking Dead" has become a cultural phenomena with hordes of fans and a huge online following, but more can be gleaned from this literal horror show than pure entertainment. The show gives the audience a possible scenario for what life would become in a situation in which survival is the number one goal. There are no more 9 to 5 jobs, mortgages are no longer a concern, and passing that math exam in second period is never going to happen, so that leaves finding food, shelter, and simply living to see another day.…

Absolutely, the first thing that you would need is a shelter. Somewhere that your attackers will not think to look, and you will be off the radar. It will not be easy, at first you will have to move constantly. Never stay anywhere that you can be seen from any angle. Staying boxed in is key to keeping out of your predators path . It's nearly impossible to find one of these safe house’s, but your main objective is to locate one. If you are successful, then you will have a slight advantage over your peers, which in the long run turns out as a longer life time. Once you obtain a place, find any type of explosive you can to line your house in case of an unpredicted entry. Next, find a food source. Keeping nutrition is key because you cannot live long without being healthy and in shape. Zombies are not slow, and will run you down and eat your brains quite quickly if you slack. Make sure you drink a lot of juice. I'm not exactly sure why but I know it will help. You need to keep your body healthy so you can defend yourself in a situation with another person, animal, or zombie.…

I would spend my last day with my family and friends. I would buy a whole bunch of things I have always wanted and use them. I would go driving, even though I don’t have a license. I would be scared and unhappy that I was probably going to die, but I would still try to act happy and have a good last day alive. I would say everything I have always wanted to everyone. I would make sure that I have made friends with everyone I’ve always wanted too. I would own up to everything I have done to everyone. After I’ve finished doing everything I’ve wanted to do I would go find food supplies and supplies to build a shelter, I would gather a flashlight and some batteries; all the essentials. I would attempt to build a shelter and I would get hide all my food in a place that it would not get radiation poisoning. I would get games- even though you wouldn’t think to play games while you’re getting bombed- I’d also take all my favourite things I own and bring them with me into my shelter, also I would gather everyone I love to come and stay in this shelter with me, I don’t know if it would work in the explosion but I would still try. I would try and go to sleep so that I wouldn’t be awake while the explosion was happening! That is how I would spend my day before the nuclear attack on Canada I would spend my last day with my family and friends. I would buy a whole bunch of things I have always wanted and use them.
