Syria Zombie Cliamte
The climate of Syria makes the country an inhospitable land for zombies. According to the CIA World Factbook, Syria is mostly desert with a climate that is characterized by long summers with hot, dry, sunny weather. This makes it difficult for zombies to survive as zombies decay faster in the heat. Additionally, Syria can be divided into three different climate zones, all of which are unfavorable for zombies. The coastal regions have a mild Mediterranean climate with a dry summer, with the warmest month above 22°C and the coldest month between 18 and -3°C. These two extreme temperatures are detrimental to the zombies, as they decay faster in heat and are frozen in the cold. The climate zone in the inland regions are classified as BSH climate, which is a "semi-arid" climate, meaning that the weather is consistently hot and dry, with an annual temperature of 18°C and little rainfall. The eastern regions of Syria is classified as a BWH climate which is a "desert" climate. This is similar to the BSH climate of the inland regions only with little to none rainfall ("Climate of the World: Syria"). Throughout most of Syria the climate is extremely hot and dry, or extremely cold and dry, making the survival of zombies difficult. The human population of Syria has been accustomed to their climate, while the zombies will not be. This will help ensure the survival of Syria during a zombie apocalypse.

As classified by the Koppen Letter Code System, Berkeley falls in the Csa category, which is a mild, mid-latitude Mediterranean climate (Hess, 2013). These climates are referred to as dry summer subtropical, but are more generally described as Mediterranean climates. These types of climates are characterized by clear skies and sunshine in summer months, mild winter temperatures and hot summers, and rain primarily during winter season from the mid-latitude cyclone. Extreme summer aridity is caused by the sinking air of the subtropical highs and may exist for up to 5 months. Locations of Mediterranean climates in North America are from Portland, Oregon to all of California (www.eoearth.com). The average temperature of the coldest month is less than 18°C (64°F) but above -3°C (27°F). The wettest winter month has about 3 times more precipitation when compared to the driest summer month. Precipitation in driest summer month is less than 40 mm (1.6 in.). Warmest month has average temperature above 22°C (72°F) and at least 4 months have average temperatures above 10°C (50°F).…

George R. R. Martin’s short story about zombies does not focus on the zombie apocalypse as so many stories and movies do in today’s popular zombie culture. In what can only be assumed to be a far distant future, Martin’s zombies are surgically altered humans whose brains have been replaced by a synthetic alternative. This turns these formerly alive humans into form of cheap, or slave, labor that is exploited on planets where most humans are either unwilling, or unable to work (Martin, 2008). Martin’s zombies in this story harken back to the origins of the modern zombie mythos. Those being derived from the African slaves who toiled on the sugar plantations of Hatti (Estes, 2012). I do not think it is any coincidence that Martin’s zombies are…

These zombies gnaw and pounce as they sniff the air for any human flesh. They pound doors and windows and get agitated once confronted with 10-foot cyclone fences. Once they are shot in the head, they die. Basically that is it on the zombie’s side of view because we never get to know what they are thinking. One of the most exhilarating pleasures of this movie is the script flipping. This is definitely a twist on the century’s most popular horror. “Warm Bodies” is a nicely directed and well-placed terrific love story with a lot of…

In his chapter “World War Z And The End Of Religion As We Know It,” Gayle R Baldwin points out that the zombie attack on Earth started by a virus which was developed to control the population but turned catastrophic after its initial test. Later on the zombie virus may have been put under control but not completely, therefore, countries should be ready for another attack and when the time comes we humans need to unite with each other to defeat the enemy using violence. Violence is the key for survival while some might rely on religion for hope and for God to save them. However, Baldwin’s point about another deadly attack is unlikely to be deadly or to occur at all. The survival of the zombies in the prevalent weather is unlikely and more importantly the spread of the lab developed viruses is not true. Moreover, Baldwin’s lacks a central claim her evidence is based on others ideas as well as her structure it isweak but on the bright side the vocabulary is simple and…

“I think the fascination behind post-apocalyptic societies allows people to live out a fantasy of invulnerability. If the zombies are slow, it would be high – running ones can outpace any human being. Given that they are impervious to pain, fear, and other human emotions, they would charge through police and military barricades without thinking of the consequences. Although biting is a horrible way of spreading a disease, it could infect thousands of people in a single day if the carriers do so quickly. Don’t worry though, modern science and biology (and common sense) says that zombie apocalypses are bound to fail, and quickly at that.…

Forget what you remember about your slow, shambling, rotting, flesh-eating corpses, also known as zombies. What used to be bland, boring, and not that scary are now taking the place of the “sparkly love-struck vampire” and the hugely terrifying beast of a werewolf. Thus evolving in pop culture. Zombies, from the standards that we remembered were these slow, staggering and moaning undead that could not run or jump, they could not open doors nor did they have any sense of self-awareness. But through the years these standards have changed and modified and we are left with a whole new line of zombies, many of them very dangerous. In the event of a Zombie Apocalypse one of the first things we would need to know is what type of zombie we are dealing with, your typical slow moving Romero Zombies, the more dangerous, scary, and fast Berserkers, or the “new” Self-Aware Zombie.…
