1.1 Explain the legal status and principles of the relevant early years framework/s, and how national and local guidance materials are used in settings.
Example 1: The framework is the EYFS
(Early Years Foundation Stage. )
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a comprehensive statutory framework that sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to five.
All providers are required to use the EYFS to ensure that whatever setting parents choose, they can be confident their child will receive a quality experience that supports their care, learning and development.
For help with local guidance materials, refer to your workplace EYAT also consult your workplaces policy & procedures and get additional guidance from your line manager.
