Oos Observation
After waiting 5 minutes for an associate to notice me in the area of my OOS item, I located an associate 2 minutes later in the main aisle of the store. He greeted me with a sincere "How can I help you today?" when I requested assistance. I asked about whether the OOS item in stock and he confirmed that the item was not in stock by using his communicator. He then checked for availability at other local Lowe's stores. He told me which ones had this item available and how many the store had available. After asking, "Is there anything else that I can help you with?," The associate told me that if I had any other questions, he will be around to

For Main Street Liquor, There really is not a OMM put into place in this store. Yes, you needed to provide excellent customer service and sell liqour or beer. They have absolutley no inventory process in this location. This can be a very dangerous thing for anytype of store. With out having a proper OMM, it can lead to shortages, and loss of pofit for the store and owner. I started a small inventory process for them, and was finding a lot of shortages thorough out the store. This is a small privatly own business. The few employees that they do have, are responsible for everything in the location when they are on. They also are in charge of watching all customers, so there are no theifts.…

Department managers are responsible for maintaining a high customer service level by carrying and maintaining merchandise in stock, while at the same time preventing excess service levels. Kudler’s policy is that adequate levels of inventory should be maintained and this customer service level is discussed on the company’s monthly operations review meeting. Kudler’s general goal has been a customer service level of 95% of items carried. This means that 95% of the time, customers will find the availability of merchandise in the store. Kutler uses historical data on items and quantities sold in the last two to three years. This data provides information to forecast which items and at what quantities to keep in…

I am happy that are making progress since starting this class. You have made an important observation about the use of double and single quotation marks. I would like to add that single quotation marks have not been a part of my writing for a while; in fact, I am not sure I even remember when to use them. Do you have a quick reference to share?…

When I was the Department Manager of Product Service, I was in charge of 70 percent of all resets in the store including display changes, merchandising refresh, and general product rotation. As an internal stakeholder (manager), I knew all the rules. However, some of these rules prevented me from accomplishing my job. Sometimes resets require me to get inside the bay to maneuver the products, beams, or shelves. This is strictly against Lowe’s policy, which states I should get an order picker…

    Breaking a Folkway

On Saturday, a friend and I went into the Great Mall in Olathe to break a few folkways (even thoght I was told not to do it with strangers, I did it anyway). When we first got there, we talked about what we should do and how to do it. The first thing we planned to do was to go to the GameStop store, and wait for people to look at games. I had planned to approach someone who was looking at a new release and proceed to tell him the ending of it, whether or not it was the actual ending of the game. Few people came in the store and none of them looked at the video game section but the consoles section. It wasn’t long before we left GameStop and moved on to Burlington Coat Factory, so I could give people my “expertise opinion” on what they should or should not buy. There was no one in the clothing department that didn’t look intimidating so we continued through the store. Eventually we left Burlington and went to Claire’s Accessories.…

One of my very favorite restaurants I only get to visit once a year but greatly enjoy eating there is Orso. Orso is considered a fancy and upper class Italian restaurant in the theatre district of New York. Orso is a small restaurant but is always fully occupied. Many times you have to make reservations months in advance. You can consider that proof in it that Executive Chef Victor Flores and his line of cooking staff create exquisite dishes with flavors that will light up your life.…

What is your job like? The first thing he said to me about his position is to get comfortable on the phone. He spends a lot of time everyday on the phone with his customers. One thing that he mentioned is that you have to choose your own mood to make for a successful day, he doesn’t let the people he talks to that have an attitude get to him, he simply passes by those that aren’t worth his time.…

When your culture identity is marginalised you can feel dislocated and displaced, and believe that you do not belong to your culture or the dominant culture. The text ‘We are going’ by Oodgeroo Noonuccal explore this notion in response to the theme of not belonging. Noonuccal clearly describes the notion of Aboriginal people not fitting in as ‘subdued and silent’. Noonuccal’s use of sibilance and alliteration usage in the ‘s’ creates a soft tone effect which makes the aboriginal people feel a feeling of helplessness and lacking a voice to speak up to the white people. The Aboriginal people feel like they have already lost the rights to their land and the white people have already overtaken their land and gained power to treat the Aboriginal…
