Why I Want To Work As An Instructional Assistant
My future plans were very vague until I had the opportunity to work as an
Instructional Assistant at a high school. I have been introduced to a great number of wonderful people whose passion is to teach. They have motivated and inspired me to continue with my education, to focus on my future plans and also taught me that learning is not just for young kids but also for people like me who once started college and for certain reasons could not finish it, therefore, inspiring me to set up new short and long term goals in my life. Now more than ever, the world is connected in various ways, there are more resources and advanced technology that can be used to build an educational plan that will help me to achieve my goals.

I never thought of owning my own mobile device when I started college nineteen years ago. Neither have I imagined using one in a classroom because it would have been considered a rude thing to do. We are living in different times, and owning a mobile device is not a luxury anymore. It is a necessity and a great educational tool that will help me to. At the beginning of this semester I found myself without internet access which affected me by putting me behind schedule on my online classes. Once I was able to connect to the internet, I was back on track and able to catch up on my school work. Mobile devices are a great source of research. It is almost like carrying library everywhere you go and enables you to look up virtually any topic you can think of. Since
I am trying to get a degree thought online classes, my laptop and my cell phone are the best technological devices that would help me in the course of my career.

Once I finish my career,
I will get to take an alternate route that will allow me to get a state-issued certification or license, which will allow me to look for a job as a technology or math teacher. Working in a high school has become my passion. It is one of the most rewarding professions. Teachers strive to help students to achieve their academic and social skills needed for college, work and life after graduation. High school teacher’s median annual wage is approximately $57,200 and its growth is projected 6 percent from 2014 to 2024.
Also, teachers can have the summer off which is a plus for people with kids, like myself, so we are able to enjoy quality time with our families. Without advanced technology such as laptops and mobile devices, none of my short or long term goals would be possible. Since education is my field of interest, it is vital that I have a good understanding of the current technological devices and their applications in the classroom. Not only from the perspective of a student, but also a teacher.
As a student, modern mobile devices has enabled me to stay in touch with my professors and assignments while I am away from my main computer. This way I
