Smart Goals Essay
I am doing good this week. I have developed a schedule and routine to make sure I get to my classes on time and leave enough time in the day for homework and studying. I have also had more time to explore UCI and socialize with classmates. This has helped me strengthen my relationship with the school and people who go here. Three smart goals I have for this quarter include receiving a C or better on all four of my physics tests. I made this one of my goals because I want to receive a decent GPA and learn all that I can from that class. In order to achieve this goal I need to continue paying attention in class. I also need to manage my time well so I have enough time to study and complete my assignments. I want to achieve this goal by the end of the quarter. Another smart goal I have for this quarter is to complete all assignment for my university studies class on time and with quality. I want to achieve this because I want to utilize everything offered in the …show more content…
I can also utilize the free tutoring for my physics class and math class. The tutoring can help me prepare for tests and produce my assignments with quality. The free tutoring will also help me get a better understanding of the material taught in my lectures making it easier to study for tests. The time management tool I decided to utilize is an app called WAVE. This app has been very beneficial in managing my time and assignments. After reading all of my class syllabuses, I entered each assignment and test into the app. I also put the times of each class and the due dates. The app then organized and color coded all of my assignment. Now at the beginning of each week I can open the app and see what I have to do and when I should do it by. It takes a lot of stress out of my life and helps me manage my time everyday. Its a tool that I will definitely continue using throughout my college

During this quarter, I believe I accomplished all my goals. First, I took one-two hours a night Monday thru Thursday and three-four hours a night Friday thru Saturday to do homework and studying. Second, I gained a lot of refreshers from being out of school for sixteen years and achieved a 92% and above in English 085 with better writing skills at an English 101 level so that I could advance at the end of the quarter, which I did. Third, was to focus in the middle of this quarter on what I needed to do next to achieve my steps over the next two quarters: what classes I need to take and which classes would be smart to take each quarter so that none of my classes clash and put me behind, which I have done. Looking back on these goals that I made at the beginning of the quarter, I know I will still work towards my future goals the same way, but without being so hard on myself and by starting…
