Remember The Titans, The Captain Of The T. C. Williams Football Team
In the famous movie Remember the Titans, the captain of the T.C. Williams football team stated, "attitude reflects altitude". When your attitude is positive you can fly higher than the sky, but if your attitude is negative then you can fall deep into the ocean. It has been said that a positive attitude is the key to success in life, and I just so happen to agree. Positivity can make you more motivated. When you are positive, others respect you and want to help you succeed. Also, with a positive attitude it won't matter if you fall down, you will get right back up and try again. Positivity can help make you motivated in a variety of ways. My wonderful friend, Skyler, has the most positive attitude and the most motivation of anyone I have ever seen. …show more content…
Talking to her makes my attitude positive and motivates me to be kind and work hard. Working hard and being kind to others can help anyone be successful in life. All my life my family has not been the most wealthy, but my dad has always been the most positive person. He went to James Madison University and is now an accountant. My father has always had the motivation and the positivity to keep moving forward. He has gained a lot of respect from his parents and sister. They started respecting him when they realized how positive he was in not so great circumstances. They decided to help him out and now my dad is the head of a tax agency. Having people help you along the way because of your positive can help you so much in life in such a variety of ways. Some say, "who cares if you are positive, just look at Donald Trump!" In reality, there are more successful people who are positive and nice rather than those who are rude and negative. J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, is a very positive woman. The first time she went to a publisher, they said, "we don't want to print this book because it is too out there". She tried time after time to get someone to publish her books, and

Our attitude plays a large role in the behavior we exhibit. When we're feeling motivated and positive, we smile, we compliment our team, and we empower those around us. A study done by Professor Barbara Fredrickson proves that positive thinking is better for bodies and minds. Fredrickson states, “Positive emotions expand our awareness, our ability to take in more and to see the bigger picture is facilitated.” (Malcolm). Here, she’s basically saying that if positivity is used then more minds will be open to suggestions and will see even more opportunities. A positive mindset can help physical health as well. “Having more moments of that open mindset helps us connect with others and it helps us build our resilience and our physical health because we become more energetic.” (Malcolm). Fredrickson is telling us that negative thinking causes bodies to have less energy and makes people moody which is never satisfying. When a positive attitude is used, it can be easy to notice by others and they can then tell if someone is approachable. “With positive emotions, there is more of an easiness in the torso and I think that’s consequently because other people can pick up and let others know that you’re safe to approach.”(Malcolm). Being visibly kind and approachable makes others want to be kind back and could possibly make them think positively as well. Positive thinking is a major factor of mental health and can directly affect multiple things in…

My dad has always tried his best at trying to be a positive individual, through times tough or easy. He always wants to think of others before himself. Even if it’s small things like letting someone have the bigger half or letting someone into your lane, these are things that he thinks are important, despite their seeming unimportance. Being a religious person, my dad always has no problem staying positive. He believes that there is a force that is much larger than him that is going to take care of him, so he tried his best to not worry. Through this belief and always staying positive so easily, this has naturally sort of rubbed off on me. This has resulted in me also picking up on the trait, being on reason why I really admire him. His attitude is one reason I really admire him.…
