How Microsoft Office Applications are Beneficial Professionally and Personally
In the world we live in today, having the acquired knowledge of Microsoft applications is very beneficial. From the basics to the more specialized programs, they are all utilized on a constant basis whether it is personal or professional. These skills will assist with organizing and communicating important information within a professional environment (Harmon & Lynch, 2010). With the development of these many methods, they will sequentially upgrade performance within a professional or personal environment.
There are several programs within the MS Office suit but the most popular are Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Word, which is currently the most universal word processor on the market, is used for many things pertaining to text display. The most common uses are for creating documents such as letters, brochures, learning activities, tests, quizzes, and are also used for several types of assignments (Simpo Technologies, 2012). Microsoft Word allows different types of effects to be added to the text making the appearance more fascinating. The picture and editing tools in Microsoft Word, enables an individual to change the appearance of a document, giving a greater impact of the visual (Simpo Technologies, 2012).
Microsoft Power Point which is a popular presentation program allows users to construct informative slides and interesting presentations. The main function of Microsoft Power Point is to enable users to create dynamic, informational slides through the use of text, graphics, and animation (Simpo Technologies, 2012). Slide presentations created with the software are often displayed on projection screens for business, training, or educational purposes.
Microsoft Excel is a commercial spreadsheet
