Describe One Communication Theory
• Discuss two factors that are a part of verbal communication, beyond the actual words themselves that might be important in your first meeting with John.
Discovering John has a slight hearing impairment I would take him to a room that quiet so that we can both communicate without any outside interference. Body language speaks volumes to hear-impaired, making sure my non-verbal signals face expressions, gestures, and posture fit your intended message. To ensure that we communicate effectively I would face John directly, speak clearly, slowly, distinctly at a naturally tone without shouting. My interaction with John would be to speak clearly and distinctly then to ask for confirmation he understood by asking him to repeat the information he receive or vice versa to ensure that we both are being understood.

The one communication theory that can be applied to my interaction on how I verbally communicate with John would be Communication Accommodation. This will allow me to accommodate change my communication verbally or non-verbal with him.     In order to establish an effective communication to our target audience, Shramm’s communication model would be used for our creative brief. The source of our message is to inform our target audience that Cargill is revamping their image and is establishing sustainability plan by using _source_____.
