Based on the information provided, the marketing strategies above and their stipulated current flaws, we think that the Indianapolis 500 marketing team should focus most of their efforts within the social media world. We also believe that the Indianapolis 500 should put on a concert and other events that would help attract people that aren’t necessarily racing fans. These concerts and events will attract attention on social media as well. Social media is such a connecting part of life for so many people in today’s society. We think this strategy could reach endless numbers of people. Also, marketing the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 on social media would help increase the hype for the race.
