Demonstration Speech
Intro: Hi, my name is Hannah Johnson and this is my Demonstration Speech.
Purpose: The purpose of my demonstration speech is to demonstrate to my audience how to make chocolate chip cookies.
Intro: What holiday comes to mind when you smell the sweet smell of cookies baking in the oven? The holiday that comes to mind is my most favorite which is Christmas! Although we know that Christmas isn’t the only time of year that we eat cookies, it is believed that over 7 billion chocolate chip cookies are consumed every year. I believe, and some may agree with me, that chocolate chip cookies can be considered to be a very tasty treat for any occasion. There are many different types of chocolate chip cookie recipies but I chose to use of my co-workers recipie. When we have professional development at work, he always brings his famous mouth watering chocolate chip cookies for everyone to share. Today, I can say that I am honored to be able to share and give you the steps to making what we call at work, Mr. W’s famous cookies.
Transition: Lets start by gathering all the ingredients and tools you will need to prepare your cookies. The tools you will need will be measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowl, electric mixer, spatula, cookie sheet, and wire cooling racks.
The ingredients that will be needed will be two sticks of butter, 2 ½ cups of flour, 1 cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 bag of chocolate chips (12 oz. bag).
Step 1: Step one, you will need two sticks of butter. **As a side note, it will help your baking process have a better outcome if your butter has been placed on the counter or stove 30 to 45 minutes prior to the baking process. This will allow the butter to melt and be soft to the touch. The reason why your butter should be melted is so that it doesn’t clump up in the mixing process.
Step 2: The next thing you will need is a

First, you will need to get the equipment and ingredients you will need to make the Oreo Truffles. There are several pieces of equipment that are necessary: a Ziploc bag, baking rolling pin, blender, a bowl, 2 spoons, microwave, baking pan, and a cookie sheet. The most vital part of this recipe is the ingredients. The ingredients that you will need are 1 package of Oreo cookies; you can get the regular or double-stuffed cookies, 1 package of 8 ounce Philadelphia cream cheese; however you should avoid fat- free because it can alter the texture or taste of the truffles, and 1 lb of semi-sweet chocolate or white chocolate chips. The first thing to do is to round up all the needed ingredients. You’ll need about 2 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of salt, 2 sticks of butter that are softened, 3/4 cups of granulated sugar, ¾ cups of packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 large eggs, and a bag of Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, which I prefer. Then you’ll have to dig up a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan, a small mixing bowl, a large mixing bowl, a hand-mixer, and a can of Pam to spray your pan. Once you have the ingredients and the pan is prepared, it’s time to preheat the oven to 375 degrees.…
