For this artistic community response‚ I will write about my experience with the play “The Octaroon” and how it relates to me as an artist. The main takeaways that I can draw form “The Octaroon” are that you should not be afraid to tackle real world issues or even playing with the form or style that you ae dealing with. The play had started out being playful in its delivery and overall tone‚ but then had sudden shifts in change. It could become dead serious and just as quickly take such serious matters

No grade‚ no play. The life of a college student requires an incredible amount of responsibility and dedication in an environment that can be extremely distracting and overwhelming. Therefore‚ developing time management skills and the ability to avoid distractions early on in your collegiate career is invaluable. Now imagine having to double that level of commitment and divide it between two completely different worlds. That is the life of a college student-athlete; constantly battling to succeed

Seminar Review On November 20th I went to the Black Box theatre to see the play Seminar. It was a small production‚ and there were only five actors. Going into the play‚ I had no idea what to expect. I had heard the play was a bit raunchy‚ with explicit dialogue and provocative scenes. The play started out with four actors portraying college graduate writers. I loved how realistic the setting was; it really looked like somebody’s real apartment. The actors did very well portraying emotion

Is religion dangerous? I am writing to investigate the reasons whether religion is good or dangerous. Some people may say that religion is the cause of suicide bombings‚ terrorist attacks‚ violence and wars but on the other side other people may argue that religion brings joy‚ comfort and happiness. Religion can sometimes be the cause of many wars and attacks such as 9/11‚ 7/7‚ the Iraq war‚ the crusades...etc. 9/11 and 7/7 attacks were influenced by Islam‚ but in many parts of the Qur’an many Islamic

this through the lives of a few aboriginal people. The play shows how aboriginal people lose their way and become more reliant on the white man and how the whites used this position of power of them. One cannot survive unless one has ones’ purpose. To aboriginal people their purpose was unrecognised due to the destruction of their past. Warren’s bestseller book‚ The Purpose Driven Life‚ asks its readers. I think that this is the same question that the play Agnoia tried to convey. Agnoia is a play performed by the FEU Theater Guild (FTG) last February 2013. The word agnoia is a Greek term which literally means “ignorance” – the perfect definition for man’s inability to understand his being. The setting of the play was in a hospital – as what the moving props (actors dressed and painted white) and the “Paging Dr. Linaw” suggests

Title of the play I went to see on April 21‚ 2017 is Grease. The theatre I had saw it in was at C.A Theatre and the company was Tarrant County Southeast Campus. The playwright of the play was by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey and the director of Grease is Steven D. Morris. My pre-show experience the first thing I saw was a person’s head‚ which I believe it‚ was the composer‚ which was cool because of how he rather stays hidden. In addition‚ I like how they had the curtains down with the title in bold

The sound of excitement was what I heard when I walked in. The sound of proud parents praising their children in the play‚ the sounds of students dreading their drama ISAs‚ the sounds of rushed footsteps‚ the sounds of the crowd settling down‚ the Sound of Music in its beginning. Last Wednesday‚ January 27th‚ 2016 I made my way to the City Playhouse to see my first CHAT school play‚ and I was looking forward to see what was in store for the audience that night! From the opening of the curtains to
