TITLE: Café Manager 1
We welcome you as an integral part of our “Family Sweet Café and More Employee Family” and it is our sincere intent to treat each employee as an individual and important member of this family. Accordingly, Management will keep an “open door” policy to all employees and will be ready to listen when you feel the need to discuss a suggestion or concern. We are here to help you. Your supervisor and the Café Manager 2 are concerned about you and they will be happy to answer your questions or direct you to someone who can give you additional information. As a Café Manager 2 in Family Sweet Café and More, the individual will have to obey the rules and regulations of the cafe and follow the work ethics. THE JOB ROLE REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING:
Education, Training, Related Work -Two- and four-year hospitality management undergraduate programs. Or a state certification/license. Ability to oversee cafe operations

Responsible for developing the house teammates
Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.
Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards, and keep appropriate records. Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards regulations are obeyed. Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, and pay bills, or monitor bookkeeping records. Check quality of deliveries of fresh food and baked goods.
Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day. Recruit, hire, and oversee training for staff.
Schedule work hours for servers and kitchen staff.

Evaluate health and safety practices against standards
Organize, plan, and prioritize
Make decisions and solve problems concerning menus and staff Monitor food preparation and cleaning methods

Cafe Safety Regulations
Cafes must store all food items separately in order to avoid cross contamination. Cross contamination occurs when a contaminated food source comes into physical contact with another item, allowing bacteria to spread. All food items must have date labels indicating when they were received, and the first items received must be the first items used. Cafe safety regulations also require refrigeration to have a working thermometer, and that the temperature remain below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
