There are many uses of figurative language in literary texts. Some examples are satire‚ simile‚ personification‚ and metaphors. The two types of figurative language I will be examining are epigram and satire. Epigram is ”a witty saying in either verse or prose‚ concisely phrased and often satiric” (Dramatic Monologue‚ epigram).
