The meaning of family is too pass traits on through the generations. Although at the time I did not want to work hard and spend time with my grandfather it was worth it because he was passing on his hard working characteristics that he acquired in his life and was passing them on to me. I learned a lot working with my grandfather. At first I would be slacking off and not getting much done but he taught that it makes more sense to get your work done first then relax later. This trait has helped me in school because it showed me not to procrastinate and get assignments done as soon as…
Growing up, family played a significant role in my life. I can truly say that I am who I am today because of them. I was taught that for as long as I live the right way, not hurting anyone along the way, and being thankful for what I have, I will be happy. There were times that I have made the wrong choices, but for the most part, I didn’t forget my parent’s teachings. For instance, getting in trouble with the law for fighting or being disruptive, I eventually grew out of it and learned that maybe violence is not the way to do things. 1. I grew up with a strong and helpful family that was always there for me. I did get into a lot of fights with my siblings, but now that I am an adult and living my own life, I realize how much I really care and love them. Thinking back on my childhood, I was raised a good life and my parents told me to be the best person I could possibly be. They showed me how to pursue a good work ethic, and how to treat others the way I want to be treated. As a child I was taught to respect my parents, teachers, and adults. To respect someone is not to agree with someone but show regard to. I was always told treat people like you would want to be treated. And showing respect is one of them. I believe respect is something that is not given its earned through the course of time. My family was what made me who I am today.…
