Childhood Memory
September 8th, 2013
An Unforgettable Childhood Memory Thinking back to my childhood years, there were countless memories. I was eight years old when my family decided to take a trip to Jamaica. It was the first time I had ever left the United States. We stayed at a Beaches Resort for seven unforgettable days. I would choose the family vacation trip to Jamaica as being my favorite childhood memory. In the frosty month of January, my family and I arrived at Beaches Resort. Beaches is an all inclusive resort with various activities and recreational amusements to participate in. It was the first time I had ever left the United States. Our trip to Jamaica required my family to get passports in order to leave the country. We received our passports on January 8th, which was the day before the big trip. I remember it being one crazy day because we all had to pack for a week’s worth of vacation. The next day we woke up bright and early to catch our flight to Jamaica! Normally I would not be to enthusiastic to wake up so early, but I was a ball full of energy and excited. I have always been fascinated with air travel, and I couldn’t wait to board the airplane. We flew first class; therefore, it was a very calm and enjoyable flight experience all the way to our resort in Jamaica. I remember when we finally arrived at the beautiful all-inclusive resort just as the sun was setting. The view was absolutely stunning. We were all excited to explore and familiarize ourselves with all the endless attractions. After checking into our suite, we were given armbands that allowed us to have access to all of the amenities the resort had to offer. Even though it was a long flight, I still managed to have the energy to go exploring with my brother and his friend. The three of us checked out the restaurants that had names we have never heard of before. The resort had fine dining to casual restaurants including Italian, Chinese, and American food. I

My best childhood memory is going to Six Flags. Me, Tommy, Anthony, and Connor are going to Six Flags. Their mom is taking us. I was very excited to go to Six Flags because it would be my first time going. When we finally got there. We parked the car and walked to the gates. When we got into the park. Connor wanted to ride the cyclone. Tommy and Anthony asked if I wanted to ride it. I said, “No.” but they pulled me into doing it. So, we waited in line. When we got to the front of the line. We got on the roller coaster and the ride started. When we started to go up I was nervous. When we got to the top, and as we were going down I couldn’t even hear myself scream. After the ride we rode rides around the park. Then, we went to the water park…

I forgot to mention that when we left for our flight to California that was going to be my first time ever flying on an airplane. It was very exciting to fly, especially since it was going to be a long three hour flight. I felt like a little kid again when the flight attendant gave me my wings for flying for my first time. One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

Arriving safely in Florida felt amazing. My mom had told me my aunt and uncle would be waiting to pick me up and drive me to their house. They had a guest bedroom waiting to be my room for the whole summer. I said bye to my new friend Jaden and got off the plane. I made sure I had all of my luggage and that nothing has been removed. I walked to where my aunt and uncle said they would meet me. I was new to this airport so it was hard for me to find where anything was. I eventually ended up finding them of course, but I had to ask several people for…

America is an everlasting memory, which impacts millions of lives of people and animals everyday. Ocean City is a memory that I go through for merely seven days once a year. I am filled with jubilation all throughout my vacation every year, so it is extremely difficult for me to pick just one memory to call my favorite. However, if I had to choose, I think parasailing with my father would be my first choice. I remember how nervous I was to be buckled into that safety harness, but…

Getting on an airplane, which I had never been on before, in itself was very nerve-wracking. When I stepped off the plane into London, an amazing feeling rushed through me, I felt alive. This experience was one of those that someone would describe as once in a lifetime. From the views on the London Eye, to getting to see Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and the Eiffel Tower with its sparkling, eye-catching lights at night, all of these experiences and more made me so appreciative of everything I’ve ever received in my life. I cherish those memories, because I have no idea if I will ever get to go back…

The lights beamed down with intensity at the green field. All was silent, for my team had just got done with practice. I was sitting down in the stands imagining the next day, everyone cheering, adrenaline pumping, and ready to take on the opposing team. I had this vision of being in the last minutes of the game with a tied score, tired but motivated. The ball passed to me as I ran through the field, shifting and pushing through the opposing team. I was now within range and with only the goalie to confuse; I strike the ball without slowing down. It’s going, it’s going.…
