What is Diversity? Diversity is the state of being different, being diverse from another group of people.it includes sex orientation, origin, gender, race, cultural, religion, and socioeconomic stratum and more. Moreover, diversity surrounded by education, tenure, ethnic group, cognitive style, and background and organizational function. However, when it comes to the workplace, diversity has to do with more than just ethnicity or race. Workplaces that are diverse are form with employees with varying characteristics which includes but not limited to, such socioeconomic background, gender, beliefs, ethnicity, and education. Although, Xerox is the largest technology and Services Company is the whole world, with a reported annual revenue of twenty-three plus billions dollars. What they mostly recognize for is their workplace diversity. In other words, how they embrace diversity, minorities, giving everyone a chance. It does not matter your cultural background, race, sex, gender, ethnicity; you are welcome. For instance collaborative skills and the abilities to do many different things at once and integrate alternative viewpoints quickly and effectively. Research found that a lot of companies with a least a higher percent of female corporate officers or board directors, financially outperform companies with the lesser percentages a large margin, on average. That is why I believe Xerox does not defy the “leaking pipeline” because ever since the beginning they have embrace the idea of minorities and females employees in their workplace. As a result, not only minorities make up at least fifty percent of their employee roster, they have female occupied positons such a president and chairman and CEO of their company. Therefore, I do not believe that Xerox embody or defy the “leaking pipeline”
