Chapter 1
Computerization is a control system that manages processes in an industrial workplace. It reduces human errors and processing time, thus it can boost productivity and results into high quality of product produce. In Information System, computerization is concern about interrelating different but interdependent transactions. This can result in a system with well-integrated processes that can perform much faster and more accurate than a manual system.

Enrollment is the process of entering and verifying data of student to register on a particular school. Different interrelated processes build up enrollment procedures called Enrollment System (ES). ES are used particularly in recording and retrieving student’s information. Tracking student information is also one of the features of ES, in which the school can trace the standing of a student. Verifying payments was also added to update or browse students’ billings.

Enrollment System is a good example of a computer generated process. This can lessen the workload and provides accurate information needed by the school. As a result, it will benefit not only the student but the administration as a whole. Enrolment serves as a vital part in the life of every student upon entering schools or universities, either public or private. It gives student the impression on how the whole institute manages and manipulates the entire body. Moreover, enrolment serves as the first experience of all students by which he/she takes part individually or with a companion.

Enrolment is considered as the first step or procedure that must be done by old students within a particular institute before the semester per school year (S.Y.) starts, but for those freshmen, or first year students (new students), they are obliged to usually take an admission test, to know and assess them the right course they want to engage to, followed by a scheduled interview in order to give them brief instructions and information about certain issues with regards to the school’s policies, institutional programs as well as personal information, health, economic status, so on and so forth.

Good enrolment is always an asset in a university, pertaining to fast payment, assessment procedures, and easy transactions with a high rate of accuracy. Therefore, good enrolment within the university, if present, can be described as civilized, organize, accurate and professional.

Background of the study
One such innovation that made a tremendous impact on the lives of the people today are the computerized information systems which make work not only easier but also provides faster and more accurate information to the users. Since its inception, many establishments such as industries, banks, offices, schools, and the like resorted to using information systems because of its capability to produce output in a short span of time. Accurate and timely information is essential for every manager in every organization. That is why an accurate and complete information system must exist to provide and execute meaningful decisions with relevance and timely information.

The concept of Information System (IS) emerged in the early 1960’s. More often, when information system is defined, the field information science is always associated; it is an academic field that deals with the generation, collection, organization, storage, retrieval, and dissemination of recorded knowledge. Furthermore, it is a collection of related components designed to support operations, management and decision making in an organization. Generally, it is supposed to inform people. Information system supports people or users in making intelligent decisions based upon the information derived from reliable data.

Though it is considered a well-established concept, it remains difficult to define precisely because of the fact that an information system can be evaluated from at least three different points of view which...
