Dear Freshmen,
As the season of love and giving approaches, the Sigma Alpha Nu Sorority (ΣAN), aims and aspires to promote nationalism and encourage unity among students for a great cause through its Valentine’s project: Art to Heart, a Poster Making Contest for your chosen charity. With this, we are inviting your block to participate and lend a hand by simply making a poster depicting/promoting the charity foundation that you would like to help this upcoming Valentine’s season. Mechanics:
Each participating freshman block will have to look for a charity foundation that they would like to help within Manila. The block’s chosen charity shall then be depicted in a poster and submitted to sancharityevent@gmail.com. After submission, the posters will be uploaded on Facebook with the most number of likes to be declared as winner. The winning block will be awarded with a Pizza Party held at their chosen charity foundation.
* With regards to the guidelines in making the poster, the block is free to express their creativity as long as the final design may be posted on Facebook. Descriptions are also welcome. Dates to remember:
January 29, 2014 – Deadline for submission of poster
January 30, 2014 – Release of posters online (start sharing and liking)
February 12, 2014 6pm – End of liking
9pm – Announcement of winner
February 15, 2014 – Pizza Party for winner at the charity foundation

Throughout the course of my junior year, I have been challenged to be the best artist of my ability. As a graphic designer, I have learned to view things in a different light and learned to express my creativity. Although I am still learning new things everyday about how to become a better artist, I have improved tremendously in every way ranging from the thought process all the way to finalizing each project, and I think that as the days go by I will continue to do well in my high school graphic design career, but in continuing my education in this major and working in a field closely related to it. I have produced at least 5 projects that reflect my passion for graphic design including the New York World’s Fair, currency recreation, and the handmade film poster from the first semester of my junior year and from the second half up until my most recent project, a book jacket, and an organic drink package design.…

another ones of my goals is to get at least 25 answered surveys or comments out of 45 sold zines. There are many art forms with people who do them, that means if that percentage of people that are creative and talented aren't empowered we are missing out on amazing ideas that can help our world be a better place. Many people feel intimidated to show their work so by helping to show some examples of art forms such as poetry, visual art, creative writing, music and more to present their work they can see examples of how then can show what they have to say . All those examples can hopefully get more people to be comfortable showing what talents they have to offer the world. the zine will be sold with most of the profits going to homeless women and to continue making the…

Psychoanalysis plus family therapy is the study of individuals and their deepest motives combines with the study of social relationships to help a person solve inner conflict(s). The history of Psychoanalytic Family Therapy can be found as early as the 1930s. The six pioneers of family therapy are Nathan Ackerman, Murray Bowen, Ivan Boxzormenyi-Nagy, Carl Whitaker, Don Jackson and Salvador Minuchin. They were all psychoanalytically trained, but some turned away from the old psychodynamics approach and toward the new systems-dynamics approach. Jackson and Minuchin moved far away from looking at their psychoanalytic roots. Bowen and Boszormenyi-Nagy retained analytical influences in their work. Ackerman maintained the strongest allegiance to psychoanalysis.…

I did scrupulous research over the internet on the suitable techniques of persuading the enthusiastic donors on the crucial things that our charitable organization intends to accomplish after raising the anticipated amount of cash. Significantly, this was outstandingly helpful because I was able to reach many benevolent sponsors as well as donors. Despite the atrocious economic uncertainty, I managed to reach compassionate donors by featuring as well as promoting distinct sponsorship opportunities especially on our critical fundraising website. Additionally, the sponsors effortlessly purchased sponsorship packages via the internet in exchange for immense exposure at our superlative event. In order to ensure that each committee affiliate was outstandingly cooperative with the entire planning process, I had to motivate them by educating then on the crucial objectives that our charitable organization intends to accomplish. Besides, I comprehensively explained to them on the need of helping the disadvantaged individuals, and they enthusiastically cooperated to facilitate the superlative achievement of our…

Looking back at the beginning of the summer, before I started this course on abnormal psychology, I thought I had a pretty good understanding on what this course would be about. I took AP introduction to psychology my senior year of high-school, therefore, I thought that that class would give me an overview of what this abnormal psychology class would be about. Originally, I thought abnormal psychology was about abnormal behaviors and thoughts. Therefore, with my previous knowledge I thought it would help me succeed in this course. According to the syllabus and the schedule, I had a basic understanding of the different terms and disorders that we would be learning about. In particular, I knew a lot about obsessive-compulsive, mood,…
