PREFACE

In this age of globalization, hyper competition has become a crucial aspect of life. Today the markets have been turned into battlegrounds and one has to strive very hard for survival and growth. Due to very rapid industrialization all over the world the demand for the managerial personnel as well as skilled personnel has increased. The perfect study of Management involves both the theoretical as well as practical aspects. To survive in this highly competitive market “Practical Knowledge” is as relevant as the theoretical. This project is all about the theoretical knowledge which I have studied during the semester under the subject of event management. I have considered all the theoretical knowledge in the way so that the project maintains the tune as how an event should be organized. In this project, all the aspects are taken into consideration which is being focused during organizing sales promotion activities in big bazaar on exchange offer. Now a day sales promotion has become an important aspect for sharing views of different professionals at a time.

CHAPTER - I

INTRODUCTION TO EVENT MANAGEMENT
Events are any happenings or occasions which commemorate a specialty associated with a date, o personality, a ritual or any other business purpose. The events are a strong medium of communication which is dynamic and vibrant in nature and induces a large degree of participation and feedback. In its modern day form the events are planned, organized and executed by a special breed of professionals. For any event to take place there must be a reason, the reason may be existing for ages or a fresh idea need to be evolved to rope in the target audience.
