Animal testing.
This is my debate essay on animal testing, in this essay will tell both sides of the argument. It will tell how animals should be treated, and give different options to animal testing that both sides can agree on. It will give facts and opinions on both sides. Why animal testing is good and why it is bad. It will provide a thesis and a conclusion to help with the understanding.

Why is animal testing such an incisive topic? Well some people believe that research on animals is a horrid living. Even though animals have feelings, and they are not humans. They are closely related to humans. It’s an easier way of testing different products without harming humans in the process. While others believe that it’s cruel and inhumane. How do you know which side to vote for? It’s simply this if you read my essay and think that what this essay tell you is good then you probably agree with animal testing. If the opposite then you are against it. But some people have mixed feelings..

Well to answer that question is a little more complicated then what people think. Animal testing can help in many different ways such as helping to fight cancer, or to grow different extremities. All around the world animals are being tested on, whether or not it’s for medical or cosmetic use is different. “150 million cattle, pigs, and sheep are killed just for people to eat. While the amount used for testing is 26 million and most of them are rodent, birds, and fish. We consume more 340 chickens for every one animal we test on animals.

My idea of the essay is animal testing should be banned. Millions of animals a year are subject to being imprisoned and having terrible procedures done. People shouldn’t think it’s right to imprison harmless animals. Even if it was right to do animal testing it shouldn’t have to use millions of animals. It costs a lot of money. Another bad thing about animal testing is that it costs a lot of money that could be used on more important things. One of the things that the money could be used on is the chips that can be used in place of the harmed animals. There is my third reason against animal…

All of my life I have had a tremendous amount of passion for all animals, and in most instances I've found that I have felt more comfortable around them than I do people, finding myself drawn to their many personable qualities, such as innocence, loyalty, lack of judgment, and overall cheerful disposition. As I have grown, my care for animals and their well being has as well, and my eyes have been opened to the horrors taking place all throughout the globe involving poor, innocent animals, who are unable to defend themselves, against the very people they are meant to find companionship with. The controversy over the practice of utilizing animals for the purposes of testing has been an issue for the past 30-40 years, and with it, comes the moral debate. However, the topic of ongoing question, whether animal testing is right or wrong, lies within your own personal morals.…

Cosmetic tests performed on animals include dropping chemicals in the animal’s eyes. Animal cruelty is when someone hurts an animal or does not care for an animal responsibly. Animal testing is basically that, so, technically, animal testing is animal abuse. Animals should not be experimented on because the testing is somewhat like torture and they are innocent. Although huge developments have been made with animal testing, about 90% of successful animal testing is not successful when used on humans.…

Many people today can say they love their pet, whether it is a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or fish. Little do we actually think about the animals suffering to the torture of cruel animal testing that goes on behind the scenes of the company’s we love. Maybelline, Head and Shoulders, and Clorox are all companies that test on animals, yet are still supported by the thousands of people that buy and use their products. I believe the main reason people continue to support companies that perform animal testing is because society today is not informed or educated about the severity of animal testing. People do not know or care to research if a company performs animal testing. Besides consumers keeping these companies alive and running, animal testing is not humane or morally right. It has been scientifically proven that animals can to a certain extent feel pain (Tell Me if it Hurts: Investigating Whether Animals Feel Pain by Caroline…

Animal testing has been a topic of debate for many generations. It is difficult to imagine a common house hold pet subjected to extreme procedures of the mildest and painless form to the harshest form imaginable. I am talking about your average mouse, rabbit, cat or dog. At the same time, consumers want to be assured they are using the safest products available, and people want science to find cures for life-threatening diseases. Lately, science has tried to prove out theories and hypnosis through computer algorithms but we still have to rely on physical subjects like the animals referenced. There is no public argument that says we should not test products before entering the market, the debate is the method by which these products should be tested. Animal testing is necessary for biomedical research, but should be eradicated for vanity reasons in terms of cosmetics.…

Animal testing is undoubtedly one of the most controversial issues in modern society. This practice began in the 19th century; animals were used to test dosing of certain drugs and chemicals. In the 1920’s, animals were also being used to test pesticides and food additives (Fano, 11). Today, animal testing is used to study everything from cosmetics to cancer. With such a wide range of opinions on animal rights and human priority, it is no wonder that this topic is so controversial. There are people who have an extreme view on the issue and are either completely pro or completely con. In my opinion, the issue of animal testing is far too complex for one simple answer; its morality lies somewhere in between the two poles. Animal testing is acceptable if it results in saving people’s lives. It is not acceptable, however, if it results in personal or cosmetic products that are far from vital to the human race.…
