Persuasive Essay Against Animal Testing
Not many people understand that every three seconds an animal dies because of animal testing in the United States and in the rest of the world. At least
94% of the animal testing has failed in the human bodies. And at least 100 drugs have failed in the human bodies
In the year of 2010 the animal welfare act covered 1,134,693 animal tests.
However, it does not cover mice, birds, rats but 95% are used in all of the researches of the animal testing. Now that leaves at least 25 million animals that we and all of the laboratories in the United States and in the world have not covered. Most animals are mistreated, and they are also being abused without being protected also here are some of the things that have been reported in the year of 2010. At

At least on average an american woman uses 12 personal products that are tested on animals. Draize eye test used by cosmetics and healthcare products. Rabbits eyelids are open by clips and they are open for plenty of days and that leaves their eyes to dry because they are not able to blink for all of those days
Animal testing has there alternative ways by computer modeling in less expensive ways. The animal researchers spend roughly $14 billion dollars on research testing. Not all animals are going to react the same way the human body would for example in 1950 thalidomide also known as sleeping pills, 10,000babies were born with the form and this drug was also tested on some of the animals around the world.
Many people have different point of views about all of the animals around the world. In an american tradition animals are friends and family but a lot of others view all of the animals as medical research, makeup etc. Since there is alternative ways, animal testing should not be allowed and it should also be banned so nobody should be able to do it.
I personally am against animal testing because my family and i have always had dogs and we treat them as if they were not just our dogs but as if

Purdue University states that “The Human-Animal bond is the dynamic relationship between people and animals in that each influences the psychological or physiological state of the other” (“Center”). The Human-Animal bond is essential to the well-being of society. Animals can affect people in many different ways, specifically by providing companionship. This bond has existed for thousands of years, though people’s relationship with animals is much different today than it was in the past. The main reason that the relationship has changed is the concept of owning pets, which is relatively new (Reinisch). The concept of pet ownership has changed the way people see animals because instead of thinking of animals as…

The potential danger of using animals as subjects in drug and product testing is exemplified by the number of approved drugs and products that are later withdrawn. In Health and Humans Research, the AAVS reports that “51.5 percent of 198 drugs approved by the FDA between 1976 and 1985 caused severe adverse reactions after they were marketed” (10). The animal testing performed on these drugs gave no indication in animals that there would be adverse reactions in…

However, technology has replaced the need for almost all types of animal experimentation. These alternative testing methods are producing more efficient results and are eliminating the horrors and inhumanity associated with traditional animal testing. Many people are rejecting alternative methods because they are new and unorthodox. However, alternative methods of testing do not mean putting humans at risk. They do not mean putting a halt on medical progress. Rather, non-animal testing will greatly improve the quality and humaneness of our toxicity testing and drug…

The first reason is that animal testing harms animals. For example, more than 100 million animals die every year due to chemical, drug, and food tests (Animal Testing 101). This is important information because that is a large amount of animals lost every year. Some of these things that people are testing animals on are not even necessary so animals could be dying for no good reason. Also, many animal tests are cruel procedures some include feeding dogs pesticides, forcing mice to inhale toxic fumes, and dripping corrosive liquid into rabbits’ eyes (Animal Testing 101). In addition, rabbit eyes are very sensitive and dripping chemicals in them can cause major damage and pain to the rabbit.…

Animal testing has been going on for a couple of years now. Scientists use animal testing as a form of “safe” testing. According to Humane Society International, animal testing is, “Procedures performed on living animals for purposes of research into the basic biology and diseases, assessing the effectiveness of new medicinal products, and testing the human health and/or environmental safety of consumer and industry products such as cosmetics, household cleaners, food additives, pharmaceuticals and industrial/agro-chemicals. (1)” Many companies use animal testing because it is easier, or more ethical, to…

Animal testing has been used a lot throughout the years and now it is time to make a change. Animal testing has caused harm and death to over 100 million innocent animals per year for the sake of human progress. Today there are many alternatives for animal testing that scientist can use in experiments instead of animals. These alternatives are more efficient, less expensive, and do not cause harm to any living being. Instead of introducing animals to malignant diseases, and killing them for research, we can use alternatives that will help fight disease that affects people. The alternatives are highly efficient because they are able to mimic the physiological state of the human body. This is very significant change in producing successful results…

Animal experimentation is not only cruel, but expensive as well. Thankfully, there are accurate, cheaper and quicker alternatives. First, there are the In vitro tests which are used to diagnose disease or health of patients using the patient's blood sample or body tissue. Another is microdosing, where humans are given low quantities of a product to test the effects on the body, without affecting the whole body system. There are also many computerized patient-drug databases, virtual drug trials, and stem cell and genetic testing methods. The United States alone spends about $16 billion dollars every year, coming from taxpayers, for animal experimentation. Just think about how much money the US could save if it abolished animal testing as a whole. The US has been in debt and in a depression for years, yet it continues to throw money down the toilet just to torture and kill animals. Animals are NOT the only way to test…

This is because many people don’t realise that the majority of cures have come from animal testing. In an Animal Testing Pros and Cons they have stated that “This helps the scientists find a cure for certain diseases.” They mean by this that many diseases are cured by animal testing- even deadly and everyday diseases such as cancer, heart diseases, and diabetes. “But think about the animals themselves.” you might say, but animal testing of a few hundred animals often saves thousands or even millions of lives so animal testing is worth it. “Insulin for diabetes, lifesaving antibiotics, etc. have been made by experimenting on animals.” It also says in the Animal Testing Pros and Cons article. When people look at animal testing it is normal for them to think of it as animal abuse, but it actually improves our daily lives. If you think about it, we will have less death, we will have better health, and we will be more immune to…
