Personal Narrative: Ben Carson's Life
I am an extrovert, not the loud kind who makes the most noise in a crowd but the type who is confident in groups and one-on-one. I enjoy meeting new people, experiencing new things, and I love developing friendships. Being the youngest of three children, I am comfortable being teased, and I can dish out jokes too. I avoid drama while preferring adventures and laughter. If you ask my friends, they will tell you that I am supportive, loyal and a good listener.
I am also goal-oriented. As much as I love socializing, I have also learned to manage my time and work hard to complete tasks. I have participated in varsity volleyball, basketball, and track every year throughout my high school career. I have managed my time well in order to maintain a 4.0 grade point average. I understand that not all goals are easy to reach, but I am not afraid to work hard as I pursue them. It’s important to balance priorities: producing quality work and achieving learning goals while sustaining friendships and

It is important to me to get through college with as little debt in the end as possible. I do not want to have to worry about an outstanding amount of debt while I pursue my dream career and take my next steps in

A leader in the field of medicine that truly inspired me to gravitate towards a career in medicine is retired neurosurgeon Benjamin Carson. Benjamin Carson an african-american neurosurgeon and was the first neurosurgeon to separate conjoined twins. HOwever, I’m not inspired by Carson’s achievement, I am greatly inspired by his story on how he was able to achieve success. Dr. Carson was raised by a single mother, in a very tough society. He always struggled with school, and especially his anger. His mother urged him to work hard, and go to the library to read books. Although after a lot of continuous nagging, Carson eventually listened to his mother and began to read books at the library. HE began to see the beauty of knowledge, and education. He began to see the beauty of life itself.…

Without goals you have nothing to work towards. Some of the goals I have set for myself this year are to get into a high school program. The programs I would like to be in are Computer Science at Freehold Boro, Medical Science at Freehold Boro, or International Baccalaureate program and Freehold Township. I plan on achieving this goal by studying hard, getting good grades, and always striving for more. Another goal I have set for myself is to make the playoffs this year in football. I plan on achieving this goal by working hard at practice and getting all my teammates to work hard also. If I achieve these goals I think I will have an even more honorable…

A good man is a source of inspiration and pride for the world. Dr. Benjamin Carson, who came from a low income African American family and was the son of divorced parents, was able to develop his skills to become a neurosurgeon. He had to overcome the insults of his friends who made him believe he was a stupid child. Due to the separation of his parents and the fact that his mother had several jobs to support him and his brother, he never showed any interest in school and reading. Essentially my passion that I possess as a nurse professional places me in a position to not want to see anyone go without health care. Through my experiences an Administrator and a Director of Nursing, I was able to not only provide some form of health care to the elderly but I also was able to provide a comfortable place for them to live. In some instances the resident or resident’s family could not afford the monthly living expenses it took to reside at the community in which I managed. I however was in a position to give rent allowances for those that were in that type of predicament. Needless to say I felt real joy knowing that I could help an individual and families from more than one angle. I am a patient advocate and I promote what’s ethically right for people. Acquiring my Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Lincoln Technical Institute will bring me steps closer to fulfilling my desire to become an ARNP respectively!…

I tend to be introverted, but it is not always the case. I am not comfortable in a large group of people I do not know and will far more often than not resort to being an introvert. This changes for me though if I am in group of family members or friends. I would not go too far as to say that I am an extrovert in those situations and surroundings, but I am far from an introvert and feel confident in saying that I am closer to being an extrovert than an introvert if I am comfortable with the large majority of people I am spending time…
