Attendance System is software developed for daily attendance in college's and institutes etc. It facilitates to access the attendance information of a particular student/teacher in a particular department. The information is sorted by the operators, which will be provided by the Head of the particular department or Administrator about a particular department. This system will also help in evaluating attendance of teacher/student.
The purpose of developing Attendance System is to computerized the tradition way of taking attendance. Another purpose for developing this software is to generate the report automatically at the end of the month/year or in the between of the month/year.
The scope of the project is the system on which the software is installed, i.e. the project is developed as a desktop application, and it will work for a particular organization. But later on the project can be modified to operate it online. It can be used in any college's and Institute for maintaining attendance details.

The project is based on the concept of RDBMS (i.e. Relational Database Management System). “A database which store data in the form of tables which has related with each other in as particular manner”.
Characteristics of Proposed System
1. Easiness in modification of data:
The proposed system provides managing of huge data effectively and efficiently for efficient results, storing the details of the customers, employees etc. in such a way that the database can be modified.
2. User friendly:
The proposed system is user friendly because the retrieval and storing of data is fast and data is maintained efficiently. Moreover the graphical user interface is provided in the proposed system, which provides user to deal with the system very easily.
