Ne-Yo Miss Independent Analysis
Ne-Yo is an American R&B singer and songwriter, he has many hits that are mostly based and talking about love. Love has many definitions -- but the one that stands out most and is in his songs is that love is being completely fascinated and almost obsessed with someone or something. Ne-Yo seems to think that love is "everything he needs" as he says that in his song "Miss. Independent". Love is observing someone's traits and quirky ways of doing things and becoming interested in them, this can be anything from walking, talking, work ethics, physical traits, views on certain subjects, or any other "things" a specific person does. From the way he sings he sounds like love makes you willing to do or provide anything for someone else. Miss Independent just talks about all the aspects of why he loves this girl he is …show more content…
Also Ne-Yo sings about how one person in the relationship could crave the other person because they are in love with them while the other person doesn't quite know how they feel -- leaving the one person that is in love to convince them why they should develop feelings back. That sounds a little forced but situations like that are caused by timing usually and the other person tends to love the other person back they just weren't so sure at the same time. In his song "Let Me Love You" he pretty much says that this one girl almost doesn't feel worthy of being in love so he sings about convincing her and mentioning all the reasons why she should. He says things that show that he cares about this girl and that he thinks they have true love between them. He is willing to give this girl everything he has because he is in love with her, in a real true love, both people should be completely and totally willing to do anything for each other. When you are in love someone they become your whole life and you care about them and their well-being above anything

I define love as connecting to a person in a way an individual has never felt before. The connection can be obtained by having common interests or even a mere look in each other’s eyes. I, personally, connect with women by having similarities on serious topics. These matters could be a personal opinion on relationships, values, morals, or even activities they might enjoy. I tend to have great feelings for a female when a woman and I understand each other about any type of conversation. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, love was defined in a completely different way. The characters in the book showed how social class, financial stability, and a bit of obsession are huge main points of their love lives.…

In my opinion this song ``What is Love`` by the Black eyed peas, refers to people at war whether it is the World War 1, or a war on a smaller scale, in metaphor with themselves or the other issues that are current in the world. This song refers to the fight against racism, it talks about how kids are getting involved and caught up in issues that should be avoided. The song talks a little bit about how we are worrying about problems that are occurring in other countries rather than fixing the situation. As it says in the song "if you practice what you preach then you turn the other cheek" this is not only referring to war but also minor issues that take place here in the world whether it be racism etc. In my opinion this song is calling out…

The message throughout the song is saying that although you may love someone, that doesn’t guarantee the relationship will last. You can love someone deeply and truly care about him or her, but understand that it may be time to move on. Have you ever wanted something so much but you knew it wasn’t going to happen? The thing that helps me is knowing that I’m living for God, and I have to trust in His plan for me. It’s hard giving up on something you want so badly. Even though you may know that its time to say goodbye, actually saying the words is the hardest part. As humans, we want what we can’t have. When we want something so badly, it’s hard to let go. This gives the illusion of a blank slate and exhibits the insecurities and vulnerabilities he felt at the start of the relationship.
