My Time In Middle School
"For you, there’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do." This quote directly correlates to my life in so many different ways. My time in middle school has been a series of learning opportunities and reckoning with who I strive to be. Middle school has been a time of figuring out my faith, further strengthen of my family’s relationships, and finding true reliable friends. The relationships with friends and family that have evolved throughout middle school have strengthened me and will have a place in my heart as long as I live. Over the course of my middle school career I have grappled with what my faith means to me. The tone of the song reflects how my friends and family have helped me come to the realization that my faith is an essential part of who I am and who I aspire to become. My family has instilled in me that “the spirit of God has been let loose in me. Encouraging me to be strong in the Gospel, faithful in service and welcoming to strangers, childlike in zeal, extravagant with love and foolish in hope.”- Mom. My faith has taught me to always be there for those who mean the most to me. One of the biggest testaments to my faith is my sister Lauren. She has not only taught me what it's like to be a good …show more content…
These challenges have proved to me that if my family and I come together as a united front we will be stronger as we lean on each other and move forward together. Additionally as much as we have been taught to be compassionate and nurture one another this songs’ vibe portrays to me that it is innate to take care of the people who surround us. It is through loved ones, education, and relationships that I have become the best version of myself. Middle school is yet another step in discovering who I am, but I do know I want to surround myself with others who offer me the love and support I

It takes an open mindset, heart, & soul to deal with the curve balls that life throws . Today, I don’t mind letting my pain spearhead my passion. Now I don’t mind singing from my pain, or dancing from where it hurts. In the midst of it all, I found pieces of myself that I acquired from hardship. “Who am I?”, I honestly don't know, but over the past few years, who I've become, a strong young lady who still desires to know more of herself one step at a time. Who I am & who I acquire to be is yet to…

Her life shows that I should completely trust in the Lord in all times in my life through the good and bad. She showed complete faith and trust when she read the Bible in the face of death. So, in times in trouble or adversity in my life, I should trust in the Lord. For example, when I am having a hard time with school, sports, and relationships, I know that I should trust in God and that he will guide me through everything. Her life could also influence my activeness in my faith. Sister Dorothy was a true steward of the Earth and also took care of other people. Her faith was so strong it could be seen through her actions. Thus, her life could serve as a precedent of how I should live out my faith. I should be a steward of the earth. For example, I could do something like raising awareness for taking care of the earth to something small like recycling or picking up litter around me. Most importantly, her life also influences me to live as Jesus taught us which is to serve and love…

Before I start this analysis, I would like to point out that this interpretation of this song will be biased in two ways. I am a Christian and my interpretation will be based on my beliefs. My second bias is that I think that this band is one of the most lyrically powerful bands ever and is honestly probably my favorite band right now.…

A new role model I have now in my life is a sister named Dorothy Stang. Dorothy was someone who wanted to make a change in the world and was willing to help anyone she met. Dorothy left her life in Ohio where she could get plenty of anything and she then went to a life where she met people who were struggling to survive by their survival farming. All of those people there had troubles getting what we sometimes take advantage of here. She left the United States and went to Brazil to continue on God’s mission and assisting others. Her strength, faith in God and her selflessness are three of the qualities that she portrays that I admire the most. Dorothy gives such a great example of Christ in the world. She brought the joy of God to so many people in the rainforest.…

Even though I sometimes feel underappreciated, I still work hard to make other people happy. Seeing other people succeed and be content is what brings me happiness, even though it takes a bit of a toll on my well-being. I could listen to this song every day, no matter what my mood is. It makes me happier when I’m happy and when I’m upset I can cry to it. Everyone has had a scar or two in their lifetime, everyone knows it hurts.…

At first my mom and dad tried to hide the divorce from us and lie about why one parent wasn't here when the other one was, and that really made an impact on me, but my brother doesn't remember much so it doesn't effect him like it does me. I was old enough to realize that something wasn't right only because I knew who they both really were on the inside and something was missing from them. This song represents a time in my life when my life was really hard and going downhill. I started failing tests and getting really low scores on our STAR tests. I believe that the hardest part for me was that they lied about everything because I will never forget that wether they know that or…

Backstory: Okay so there is actually a little story behind this meaningful song. Isaac Slade, the lead singer of the band attended a camp for troubled teens and he was a mentor there. At the camp, Slade met a boy who was dealing with a drug problem. This song is talking about all the people who tried to reach out to the boy but was unsuccessful. The people around the boy only knew how to say things like, “Quit taking drugs and cutting yourself or I won’t talk to you again.” The boy was losing his friends and was dealing with depression and they just didn’t realize that what the boy needed was a listening ear and a lot of moral support.…

Growing up in a Baptist church, this hymn was a staple in the sermons preached on Sundays. This poem is widely known because in ails of time we’ve either heard it from the pulpit or from our grandmothers giving thanks to her Almighty God for saving her. Although this poem is short it is to the point. As stated in our text “hymns relate to universal human experience and the sweeping range of emotions they produce” and is a “poetic expressions of praise, hymns connect (and lift) these feelings—joyful, fearful, sad, grateful—to a divine realm as evidence of faith and with expectation of hope.” (Clugston, 2010). The song is universal and the lyrics are well known throughout the world.…

Our teachers love us and always want us to do our best. Sometimes we don’t realize how much they care about us. They love us and are going to be so sad when we leave. They don’t know it but we love them too, most of the time! Some ways they express that is through songs. They want us to stay Humble and Kind like Tim McGraw, leave our legacy like The Script, and always know that we are one of a kind like Pink. These messages are the three things that we need in our lives forever.…

It describes my exact feelings towards graduation talking about how “our future is in our hands and how we “have so many dreams and so many plans.” While listening to this song, I think back on all the memories I have made at Madera High, and all the people who have touched my life. I am appreciative of the small town I come from, and the opportunities Madera High has blessed me with. I will always remember these last 4 years and all the people that shaped me into the person I have become today. This song causes me to look back on high school and just smile as it's now coming to an end. “For [me] the world just opens up, as I close this chapter and begin a new story at Cal Poly this fall. I'll always remember my roots and Madera High School. #BleedBlue…

The song puts off a “feel good” sense and mentions making the most of their night. There were numerous times we had listened to it in the car on a trip to buy groceries or a road trip to other places. This song allowed me to think about positive memories I had with her through my freshman to sophomore year. Whenever the song comes on the radio, it helps to recollect the pleasant moments I had with her before her passing. Living life to the fullest is important and these particular song motivates me to prosper every day I am living.…

This line in the song portrays the most Christian theme. My interpretation on this theme is forgiveness. This is one of the most important Christians themes. Forgiveness is portrayed in this line because God knows We will make mistakes and learn from them, but We all are thankful that God forgives us. I have seen this theme in my life because no one was perfect except for Jesus so we all need God to forgive our sins. That theme of forgiveness portrayed this song is probably of the most important themes in our lives.…

This song sheds light on the ways in which a parent truly loves their child. Not only do we want to teach our children the correct way to live but we also need to show them by ‘practicing what we preach’. In the first and second lines of the song, we are introduced to the supernatural and all powerful protection that a parent wants for their child. He says “May the good Lord be with you, down every road that you roam”, I feel that by including a religious stand in the lyrics that the writer is giving all his faith and hope to a higher power in order to protect his child through all paths in life. As parents we are not always able to be there for our children and by giving power over to a higher being, I feel that we are given a sense of security and comfort. Knowing that someone or something is always watching over and standing beside our child is an added protection in addition to our parental protection. This is not the only religious reference included in the lyrics. In the third stanza, second to last line, Rod says…
