Dorothy Stang Research Paper

A new role model I have now in my life is a sister named Dorothy Stang. Dorothy was someone who wanted to make a change in the world and was willing to help anyone she met. Dorothy left her life in Ohio where she could get plenty of anything and she then went to a life where she met people who were struggling to survive by their survival farming. All of those people there had troubles getting what we sometimes take advantage of here. She left the United States and went to Brazil to continue on God’s mission and assisting others. Her strength, faith in God and her selflessness are three of the qualities that she portrays that I admire the most. Dorothy gives such a great example of Christ in the world. She brought the joy of God to so many people in the rainforest.
She kept such a positive attitude through the time that she spent helping and thinking of others before herself. The story of Dorothy is truly inspiring. Through the last large portion of her life, she wanted to spend it on helping others. Dorothy neglected the fact that she was on a death list. Most people would stop what she was doing right then and there. She kept going. Dorothy knew that there were people out in the rainforest that needed help and she risked her life everyday to support them. She thought of what the other people needed instead of what she, herself, wanted. Her story influences my life because I see how much God has worked through her and how big of an impact it made on other people. She showed me how faith can be such an important part of a person’s life. My faith life is inspired by her. I saw how big of an impact having faith can have on so
