Sister Dorothy Stang Research Paper

In the face of death, Sister Dorothy Stang trusted God with her life. Sister Dorothy was a sister who dedicated her life to serving the people in Brazil. In Brazil, she worked to help poor communities and farmers build villages and ultimately a more promising future. Risking her life everyday, Sister Dorothy did her missionary work until she was martyred on February 12, 2005. Although her death was surely untimely, Sister Dorothy’s life and her story showed her best qualities and can even influence my own faith. Revealed through her life, her qualities of altruism and courage are the ones I admired the most. Sister Dorothy was truly altruistic. Giving up her life to become a servant, Sister Dorothy moved to Brazil to help others and nature. Although it was a difficult task and even though she was pinned onto a death list, she selflessly stayed in Brazil to promote care for the earth
Her life shows that I should completely trust in the Lord in all times in my life through the good and bad. She showed complete faith and trust when she read the Bible in the face of death. So, in times in trouble or adversity in my life, I should trust in the Lord. For example, when I am having a hard time with school, sports, and relationships, I know that I should trust in God and that he will guide me through everything. Her life could also influence my activeness in my faith. Sister Dorothy was a true steward of the Earth and also took care of other people. Her faith was so strong it could be seen through her actions. Thus, her life could serve as a precedent of how I should live out my faith. I should be a steward of the earth. For example, I could do something like raising awareness for taking care of the earth to something small like recycling or picking up litter around me. Most importantly, her life also influences me to live as Jesus taught us which is to serve and love
