Now I want to talk about our trip. Our trip started at 8 am, in front of our university. We started our trip with getting on into two buses. After being in the road two hours we reached our first…
Awaiting arrival to Fort Lauderdale International Airport from JFK was a nerve wracking experience. I was saying my good-byes to my old life, and welcoming my new life. As the plane was in the sky there was a state of nervousness, yet happiness of arriving to the love of my life. When the plane landed and I saw him waiting for me with flowers in his hands, it was a moment I knew I would never forget it. As we drove to the hotel that the wedding was taking place in I was in the state of shock because I felt that the moment was around the corner. When we arrived at the hotel and I saw the hall I was amazed at how beautiful it was, I remember thinking that it was the most stunning hall I've ever seen.…
The service that i attended and served at was one of the most memorable moments in my life. I will never forget getting off that bus and seeing all of the kids who needed school supplies for that coming school year. When i was in 8th grade, i went with my church downtown to a school to hand out school supplies to kids who did not have enough money to buy there own. It was a bittersweet occasion because it was unfortunate to see all of those children who were not able to have their own supplies but on the other hand, I was pleased and so blessed to be one of the people to help them out. Before we opened everything up, i got the great opportunity to meet some of the kids waiting in line. There were kids from ages five to 18 there that were all smiles and their eyes were bright with anticipation, just to get school supplies. The kids there were so sweet and it made my heart warm to see them getting everything they needed to get and i was fortunate to be one of the people that the kids looked up to. It was so meaningful to me because it was like seeing the world from a whole new perspective. I go from living in a nice place, getting my own school supplies, living in a nice neighborhood and going to a nice school, to going downtown, to see kids who have never really had the experience to do what i do and they are still some of the most kind hearted people i have ever met. It is amazing to be apart of a situation where you see things from another side and that those people do not need everything in the world to be happy.…
September 11, 2001 was a day in history that no one will ever forget. This day marked the terrorist attacks on New York City, when multiple airplanes crashed into two very remarkable landmarks, the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. As the buildings slowly fell to the ground burning, people watched as many others life’s flashed before their eyes. This was just after the millennium had taken place, and people were busy enjoying life in the city, when out of nowhere, a terrorist attack happened. People had no idea this was coming, and while many in the city saw it right in front of them the whole entire country watched it on the news wherever they may have been. These attacks were compared to the Pearl Harbor Attacks of 1941, one similarity being that the World Trade Center was at the heart of one of the world’s largest cities (Kaiser). I remember this day, when I was sitting in my third grade classroom and my teacher got a call from the office. She started crying and right after she had gotten the news we were all sent home. When I got home my TV was on and my mom was sitting in front of it crying. Though we did not have any family in New York, it was still a tragedy. We watched as the Twin Towers came crashing down and people jumping out. That day was a true tragedy that nobody will ever forget, however it has made our security, our people, and our country much stronger.…
Ten years ago, the Internet was practically unheard of by most people. Today, the Internet is one of the most powerful tools throughout the world. The Internet is a collection of various services and resources. The Internet’s main components are E-mail and the World Wide Web. Actually, there’s a lot more to the Internet than E-mail, search engines, celebrity web sites, up-to-the-second sports scores, and chat rooms full of discussions. The Net also ranks as one of today’s best business tools. Almost all households contain the Internet; however, before people connect to the Internet, they need to be aware of its disadvantages and advantages. Many people fear the Internet because of its disadvantages. They claim to not use the Internet because they are afraid of the possible consequences or are simply not interested. People who have yet connected to the Internet claim they are not missing anything. Today’s technological society must realize that it is up to them to protect themselves on the Internet.…
Life is full of unexpected events that leave a glimpse of lingering within a person’s heart; it could be unforgettable history, unpredictable present, or mystery future. No matter what will happen, everything will eventually have an effect which will remain forever or dissolve in their memory. When remembering an event, people tend to reflect about their past instead of heartbreaking events. Notwithstanding, several incidents such as my aunt passing away, my mother’s health, and my friend Diego, both tragically and glamorous, influenced me as the most remarkable event thus far within my life.…

My very best day was, when I was visiting India for the first time in seven years. I was born and raised in India, but ever since living in United States for seven years it was the first time I was visiting India. After living in United States, for this long time and visiting India was very exciting. I was planning this trip ever since February 2012. It was a very different experience. It wasn’t anything at all like I was expecting, but it was more surprising. I choose to go in December because of the weather and also my cousin was getting married. I was going with my family. So finally, the day was here and I was in India on December 19th 2012. My friends and cousins were at the airport to pick me up, they were very happy, and surprised to see me after a long time. It was a very warm welcome with handmade flower necklaces. They knew I was coming so they already cleaned my house and it was ready for me. It was very different feeling living in that house after living in United States and also the weather was different than United States. After they dropped me off at my house, I got freshen up, and then all my relatives, friends, and neighbor started coming to my house to see me. They were very happy. Then my mother’s family who lives in India, they came to see from another city. I got so emotional after seeing them. It was the best feeling seeing your family after so many years and my mom cried so much after seeing her mother. It’s a very different experience talking to them on phone from U.S.A and meeting them face to face in India. Then we all went out to have lunch with my mother’s family and my friends. I was craving for pure Indian food taste so I had so many different kinds of dishes. We had South Indian food, Gujarati Thali (full Dish), and my favorite Indian Chinese cuisine. We had so much while having lunch. Everyone was sharing their stories and taking about random stuff. Then we all came back to our home and took a nap…

Today, I would like to tell you about my best vacation. A few summers ago, my sister, her colleagues and me took a vacation to Nha Trang for 5 days. As you know, vacation was special days! We visitted many well-known places such as: Vinpeal Land, Hon Tam Island, Diamond Bay, Thap Ba Pagoda,...and so on. On the way riding in the cable car to go to Vinpeal Land, we saw several jelly fish in the very blue water. It is the first time I have ever seen an extremely beautiful view like that, so I felt very interested and relaxed. We stayed there all day to play games, visit the aquarium, take photographs,... We spent another day diving into the sea to view the colorful coral. At the moment I felt anxious because I couldn't swim, but when I saw the coral, its beauty made me fogot all thing. In the next day, I took a boat for some where that I don't know to eat seafood such as: fish, cuttle fish, shrimp,...The food was so fresh and delicious. At night, we rent bicycle to ride along the seacoast. It was so romantic journey. After we utterly exhausted, we droped in shift shop where we ate lobster, grilled meat roll and drank sugar-cane juice... The last day before came back home, we went to the market to buy speacialities and souvenirs for our family and fiends. Although I got sick after the vacation but I felt so happy from my heart. I love my vacation so much.…
There are many memorable moments in my life, but the one that stands out most to me would be the day that my husband Eric got bit by a copperhead snake. I was working as a dental assistant at the time and we would go to the nursing home once a week and see patients there. I had just arrived to the nursing home and was getting everything set up and ready for the dentist, as I was doing so my phone rang. It was a guy named Gary that Eric worked with. He said, “Tina this is Gary and I need you to stay calm when I tell you this.” I said, “Gary what is it just tell me what is going on?” He then began to tell me that he and Eric were walking up a hill to spray the ride away and when Eric got to the top of the hill he put his hand down to pull himself up and put his hand right on the copperhead and it latched onto his thumb and bit him. Gary told me that he was already in the ambulance and on his way to the hospital, but his hand was already swollen really bad and had turn black.…
