Narrative Essay Example on a Good Day!
April 22, 2013
Narrative Essay My very best day was, when I was visiting India for the first time in seven years. I was born and raised in India, but ever since living in United States for seven years it was the first time I was visiting India. After living in United States, for this long time and visiting India was very exciting. I was planning this trip ever since February 2012. It was a very different experience. It wasn’t anything at all like I was expecting, but it was more surprising. I choose to go in December because of the weather and also my cousin was getting married. I was going with my family. So finally, the day was here and I was in India on December 19th 2012. My friends and cousins were at the airport to pick me up, they were very happy, and surprised to see me after a long time. It was a very warm welcome with handmade flower necklaces. They knew I was coming so they already cleaned my house and it was ready for me. It was very different feeling living in that house after living in United States and also the weather was different than United States. After they dropped me off at my house, I got freshen up, and then all my relatives, friends, and neighbor started coming to my house to see me. They were very happy. Then my mother’s family who lives in India, they came to see from another city. I got so emotional after seeing them. It was the best feeling seeing your family after so many years and my mom cried so much after seeing her mother. It’s a very different experience talking to them on phone from U.S.A and meeting them face to face in India. Then we all went out to have lunch with my mother’s family and my friends. I was craving for pure Indian food taste so I had so many different kinds of dishes. We had South Indian food, Gujarati Thali (full Dish), and my favorite Indian Chinese cuisine. We had so much while having lunch. Everyone was sharing their stories and taking about random stuff. Then we all came back to our home and took a nap

Most people rely on the security and care of others to provide for their loved ones when they put them in a nursing home. What they don’t realize is how much neglect goes on to the people they care most about. Residents are at risk of being abused by their caretakers but they are also at risk of being restrained, which may lead to a form of abuse. At Southwestern Nursing Home I have witnessed forms of neglect and abuse. Nursing homes are meant to be a place for security for the elderly to be cared for in their golden years, and it has become an unpleasant experience for senior citizens being subjected to acts of abuse and neglect.…

By living in a visual world, companies frequently run ads using photoshopped pictures. The image presented is near perfect in appearance, yet it is not always truthful. Has the question, “ What do other people think of me?” ever crossed your mind before? It has crossed my mind before, which has led me to many questions. In this day and age people know how to handle a computer, I’d like to say I know more than your average bear. Many things are possible with a computer, like watching videos or listening to live streams. Every week or so a group of my friends speak about random topics, this particular week the gang decided to speak about religion. A topic I consider slightly taboo to discuss in large groups, a day I will never forget.…

My mind begins to speculate which reaction would be ideal for this problematic situation in which I find myself stuck with a thousand overwhelming emotions of confusion, anxiety, anger, encouragement, joy and peace.…

There can be major physical changes and effects to a female’s body after having a child. In 2011 when I had my son the hospital gave me an epidural for the pain; they did the shot too high up on my back. As far as anyone knew I was fine. I showed no signs of problems until after I got out of the hospital, when I started having back spasms due to the fact that the epidural was done incorrectly. The female body goes through many natural changes; it prepares itself to be capable of having a child naturally and being capable of breastfeeding babies. It can also cause other effects that are not necessarily normal changes to the female body, for me the two main changes that I had were being anemic and having a hyperthyroid. The doctors told me that I was anemic because I had lost too much blood during labor and that the hyperthyroid was a result of my body changing after having my son but that it was nothing to worry about.…

I am an average 16 year who just can’t wait to grow up and face the real world and not have to worry about any rules or restrictions. On January 12th, 1996, my parents named me Asmaa, so I have to stick with that name for the rest of my life. Personally, I like the name because it’s the name of a very great person; more of a hero in Islam. Names in my family go with a pattern; but this only goes for girls. The pattern is the double ‘A’ at the end of the name. Shaymaa is the leader of the tribe yet she doesn’t control any of us. Next in line are me and my twin sister Alyaa. We are the decision makers in the household, everyone takes our opinion before doing anything or taking any steps .I would like to mention that I am the older twin; but that doesn’t really help me in anyway because she is treated as the ‘wiser one’. I am known as the smiley easy going twin and Alyaa is known as the serious harsher twin. There are 5 years between Omar and me, which makes me the mature older sister that he could come to for advice. Esraa is the little seven year old diva of the house. She likes to imitate models and celebrities and act like she rules the planet. The sixth child is five year old Tarek who just entered grade one this September. He believes that the world can’t survive without superheroes. Last but certainly not least is my life and my smile, the little flower of the house; Alaa. She is a year and 3 months old. In my mind; she completes the package very well. We kids call ourselves The Power of Seven. We’re 5 girls against 2 guys. Fortunately for us girls, we gang up against the guys and we always get what we want. The girls rule the house because they know how to fight for what they want, they know how to put up a good argument, and plus they’re the majority. Speaking of majority, I am two years away from being an official adult and getting the right to vote; a year and 4 months and day to be exact. I really want…

The most memorable and happiest occasion of my life is the day of my H.S.C. (Higher Secondary School Certificate) result. The day was August 26, 2011. From the very beginning of that day I was very nervous and excited about my result. My parents, my brother and all other family members were also very excited about my result. As I was very nervous I prayed a lot on that day. I want to get my result to my college with my mom and my brother. I was registered to the website of Bangladesh Education Board to get my result earlier. When we all were waiting for our result in front of our auditorium I got a text message from the education board and it was my result and I got GPA 5.00 which is the highest grade of secondary level. As I had not seen my result directly I could not believe that, so I was waiting for the publication of result from our college. About 2 o’clock we all got our result. I was very happy and speechless. I ran to my mom to inform her about my brilliant success in H.S.C. exam. She was very happy to hear that. Then she informed all of our near and dear family members about my result. Everyone congratulated me. Many of my close friends also got GPA 5.00. We all celebrated the day and enjoyed a lot. It was a happy occasion to me but not for one of my dearest friend who did not get GPA 5.00. He was very upset. I consoled him and also supported him. When I went home everyone welcomed me warmly and celebrated the day. It was a nice get together. I will never forget the…

A memorable day is something which is unforgettable, a sweet and a pleasurable thing to remember, to cherish for. Memories of the day when I got my B.Ed results flashed on my eyes. Amidst the huge tension, I went to check my final result in college. I could not have my proper lunch as there was a fear factor that was ruling my mind. My mind was filled with a strange stage of anxiety and expectation. I was at my blue attire, a blue churidar with a white dupatta , which I consider lucky on rare occasions. The sand of time is passing on, filling each moment with more tension. It was making me more and more restless. It was around 3 P.M that the results were unveiled amidst the huge crisis of other candidates. And now finally!!! Got it!! Yes! I got a first class amongst top ten in the list! My joy knew no bounds! I could hardly imagine at that point that I could come out with such flying colors. My teachers who have guided me throughout were present at the moment and they embraced me out of joy and blessed me as well. My heart was throbbing out of excitement.…
