This way we could do more with the money that was graciously given. It would be our greatest honor to have you attend the Mount Hebron ribbon cutting ceremony in the early fall of 2017. You would be able to see all the effort and work that the Mount Hebron staff and students have put into this project. We thank you for your time and we really hope that you will be able to…

This letter is to tell you that I ( Erin Ellison) deserve an A (91.5%) in your class. I deserve this grade because I have put forth my best effort, completed nearly all my assignments on time, have received good grades on those assignments, and those grades are a direct reflection of the effort I have put into each one of those assignments. Another reason I have given this grade to myself is I regularly attend classes and try to take part, and not only attend class but be engaged with the class. The last reason is I redo any of my assignments that I do not get a good enough grade on; although not only to improve my grade, but also to learn from the mistakes I made. Currently, I have an 88.8 percent in your class, so for the rest of the…

At the surface, the letter Lord Chesterfield writes to his son appears to simply offer his son simple sound advice with the intention to help his son. It seems that he is trying to give his son this advice in a friendly manner as opposed to a father giving his son advice. However, upon closer analysis of what Chesterfield writes, one can see how he is actually subtly reminding his son of his obligations and duties. Using strategies such as understatements, diction, and rhetorical questions, Chesterfield subtly leaves reminders to his son that shows what Chesterfield holds as high values: obedience and reputation.…

I am writing this letter in a hope that we will meet one day in the future. At this state I am a seventeen year old high school student. I have been given an assignment to write to my future child about personal success. To let you know right here at the beginning of my letter, I really believe that being a good parent is a sign of personal success. At this point I am not sure if I want to have a boy or a girl but I am certain that I have every intention of being a pillar of strength and support for my child. I know some people in their thirties that do not want to have children and I must say that I admire them for recognizing that parenting is not what they desire in their life. Do not let this contradiction confuse you. Knowing yourself and accepting yourself is a great success!…

Being a high school student with a fair amount of experience and observation in the field of achieving good grades with minimal effort, I should like to bestow upon current and future high school students some advice that may lead to their success. Before doing so, I would like to make clear that I do not necessarily endorse these methods. It is just observed that the application of these methods is shown to have worked with some of the most highly ranked high school students, the “elite,” and here’s how they do it, and how you can too.…

I have decided to write a letter to you about drinking, which I didn’t think I would have to do. Anyway let’s start. Drinking is very dangerous if you consume a lot. You can have liver damage, brain damage and many other problems that will eventually lead to death. When you drink you could get into a car with a complete stranger and they could start driving under the influence of alcohol, which can result into a car crash which could take your life. Anything could happen when you’re under the influence of alcohol. You then start to become dependent on alcohol as well, making your life seem ‘better’. Another thing about drinking is that you can become really depressed when you drink it, which could lead to suicide. You can become angry when you get drunk which can lead to violence and someone might die from your own stupidity. You can shorten your life by just drinking a drink. Don’t go drinking at a bar in the middle of the night because a stranger could come up and do anything to you and you might not be able to do anything because your reflexes aren’t great and are extremely slow because you’re drunk. Do you want to be stupid and get into a car with someone who’s drunk and driving the car? Do you want to kill someone because they looked at you funny when you were drunk? Do you want to be caught over the influence when you’re driving? No you don’t. That’s why you should never drink unless you want to endanger your health. This is for your own good……
