Kids Shouldnt Be Paid to Get Good Grades
Outline
Therefore, Middle School Students should not be paid for good grades and behavior.
1. Kids shouldn’t be paid because they don't have the entitlement to the money.
A. A reason that we shouldn't pay students is that their parents pay for their tuition and many other aspects of the kid’s life and then they have to pay them to do well. That is not right and should not happen.
B. Also, school is a privilege as many kids around the world don't even have an education.
C. Finally, just because they get good grades and have good behavior does not change the quality of work. The kids that don’t get as much money could still do better in school than others because others are just clouded with greed and their overall concentration does not improve by a large margin by giving them bribes.
2. If we pay students there will also be internal conflict at school if money was being handed out.
A. For example, students may be able to use this to money to pay for drugs, alcohol, and for video games.
B. In addition, students who receive a lower or a higher amount of money from his parents than his peers might be ostracized from certain groups for being irregular and there will definitely be jealousy in everyone’s minds.
C. Lastly, bribing the kids to do better will not make them more competitive. They will only pay attention to the money and kids will not do extracurricular activities or competitions unless they are being paid for those things too.
3. In conclusion, the future of our country will be hurt if we paid students for getting good grades.
A. For instance, students won’t strive to be the best by themselves and what happens after college. Their parents learned things and didn't get paid but then their kids won’t learn the life lessons from working for something and then their kids will be impacted.
B. In addition, Kids should be rewarded by the satisfaction of getting good grades, not the money that they receive from their parents. It could be considered a form of bribery. Promising cash for good grades to children is essentially bribing kids into getting good grades and behaving. This is similar to a parent who buys a screaming toddler candy or a toy to make the stop crying.
C. Finally, In some cases the idea of a financial reward encouraged students and improved the attendance rates; however there was absolutely no increase in the quality of the students' work and their attitude at home. Psychologically, there is no proof whatsoever to prove that the idea of a reward has the potential to improve the kids performance on anything other than the most basic of skills.
Therefore, we should not pay middle school students to do well in school and get have good behavior.

One central idea of the article is the idea of support, because getting good grades is not a bad thing so should parents support their kids do better with cash? If a student started to show lack of effort maybe it will help them get back up and have a goal towards something. In addition, some parents might be afraid that their will think if you stop paying their adolescent, they won't keep their grades up. Lastly, if the child is getting paid in middle and high school, the kids would also be expected to be paid into college? Although some parents agree with paying kids for good grades, they also know how to pay them by their grades, for example if the student fails a test the parents does not give any money to the student since she/he…

I believe that children should not be paid for good grades for several reasons. First of all, To get good grades depend on how each student learns and handles with the result he or she will receive at last. According to Sylvia Rimm, a child psychologist, money does not play an important role in achievement but consistency does. To illustrate, successful students always try to maintain their scores with unchangeable effort while others who once fail give up easily because they believe that there is no second chance to get rewards and compliment. Another reason is that paying for good grades does not mean paying for any knowledge at all. Like a case of Kasama and her 13-year-son, each grade in the report card has its price - laptop, cellphone, portable DVD player and even money. Thus, many children are so eager to have tutorials just to get 'A's and then what remain in their heads will be soon replaced with what they want and eventually receive as a prize. Finally, paying for good grades can ruin children's confidence. For instance, I had never pay for better better grades until high school when almost all of my friends paid for tutorials. I felt like I could not be good enough without taking extra courses in spite of the fact that I could succeed my self-studying. To sum up, with these reasons given above, a lot of money should not be spend on getting only good…

    Should Kids Be Bribed

My name is Clifton bell I’m a member of the fog city school board and we are voting on if we should incentivize kids for different tasks in school. A Harvard economist named Roland Fryer Jr. ran a randomized experiment to see if incentives will motivate kids to do better in school. The experiment took place in four states Dallas, New York, Chicago, and Washington where he used 6.3 million dollars to pay 18, 00 kids. He brought in a team of researchers to help him analyze the effects incentives have in the class room. When it comes to paying kids to do something that they should do without getting paid, I’m in the middle but we have to keep in mind some of these questions how long will the funding last? Should the program be limited to low income families? Will incentives motivate all students? Incentives can work both ways it can motivate or it can discourage kids depending on what the reward is for. Incentives in schools are a good idea depending what the reward is for.…

Wouldn’t you love to have your teacher pay you for an A on that test. Although some people would see this as a bad idea, it would help students a lot with their school work. Let’s face it, kids love money. So that would lead them to want to do some things to earn money. If students earned money for good grades they would be more focused on getting good grades then they would without being paid. The grade average for the school would show amazing results which would show how much more work students would be putting in to get good grades. It would also give students a reward for working hard and behaving well. It would get students to go to school more often and give them a better ethic to work. So students should get paid on good grades.…
