Google Chrome OS is an operating system that directly links in to web browser as soon as you press the ON button of the Chrome laptop. There is no wall paper or other documents that are stored in computer software. All of the documents or pictures are stored at the web browser that is called Google chrome cloud, so there is no problem even though your laptop is lost.

Who are the target customers?

The target customers of the Google Chrome Operating System is the net book users that spend most of their time on the web checking e-mails, searching for information, shopping and so on. And as most of the young people tend to be like this, Google Chrome OS is going to be more popular and widely utilized by those people in the future.

What Google Chrome OS differentiated from other operating systems?

<SIMPLICITY, SPEED, SECURITY >
These are the three strengths that Google has. If you use Google Chrome OS it will be much simpler to get in to internet and is much faster to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. In addition, as I said above, there will be no problem even though you lost your laptop or it broken down, because all of the data will be stored in the web browser, not in the hardware. Also Google completely redesigned the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don't have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates.

Who are the competitors? The biggest competitor of Google is Microsoft windows. For the moment, it doesn’t seem very threatening to Microsoft because the penetration rate of Google Chrome OS is not high as Microsoft. However, as soon as the weaknesses of Google (such as price of the Google Chrome-only hardware and the low compatibility) are settled, it will be big a match between two of the competitors. And, Microsoft could not help developing a new operating system that can stand against Google Chrome operating

    In traditional search, Microsoft’s Bing search engine and Facebook, which passed Google as the most popular website in the world, pose threats as people desire more personalized and social media-related search information. Searches for local information, such as restaurant reviews or directions, are 20 percent of all Google searches and half of all mobile or smartphone searches. Yet, local-related search advertising is a weakness for Google, but a strength for Groupon, Facebook Places, Living Social, Foursquare, and Bing. Although Google’s Android smartphones have more market share than Apple’s iPhone, the Android software is open source, so Google makes no money except for built-in Google Ads and services. Likewise, Google trails Apple and Amazon in the number of publishers who use their software, devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, book readers), and online stores to sell electronic versions of newspapers, magazines, books, music, TV shows, and movies. Finally, Google’s Chrome web browser (13% market share) competes with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (55%), Mozilla’s Firefox (22%), and Apple’s Safari (7%).…

    About Google

    Google is the largest, fastest and most accurate search engine that provides search results to millions of its users all around the world. Millions of people use it daily in more than hundred languages and have come to regard as Google and internet as one. Google reliably provides free information for everyone who seeks it. Unlike most companies where the managers try to think of ways to make money and then create products, Google is a place where technologists think first of ways to solve problems and only then they think how to monetize them. The most important technological advantages that distinguishes Google from its competitors is that its employees assemble and customize all of the personal computers the company used to carry out searches and follow the mantra of “cheaper faster better”. Google was started by two guys named Sergey Brin and Larry Page while they were studying PhD at Stanford University. One of the important reasons for formation of Google was that the best search engines at that time like Alta Vista and Excite did not provide accurate and relevant results and made users frustrated. When Google was launched it became so successful that within five years of its launch both its owners became billionaires. In this way Brin and Page by sheer intelligence, hard work and technology converted their PhD research project into multibillion dollar company. The important quality of Larry and Sergey that separates them from their peers is that even though successful they are not satisfied with their present state and always have the hunger to find means and ways of expanding their company by innovations and increasing their data base. Presently the two of the most compelling areas that Google and its founders are quietly working on are the promising fields of molecular biology and genetics.…
