What is the most common form of written communication in your workplace or in a workplace with which you are familiar? Is expository writing or technical writing the most common form of written communication in this workplace? Who is responsible for most of the technical writing in this workplace?

The boss or section chief is normally task with writing memo’s which is expository in his department, pass along information that is pass to him from his boss. These memos are used to inform everyone of any changes.

What are some common issues you have seen with written communication in the workplace?

I have seen a lot of miscommunication or someone not fully understanding the what was said in the email or memo’s. I have also seen a lot of coomon misspelling.

How can an organization benefit from well-written communication?

Documents that very well written and easy to understand by the readers can make it easy for the company to commuincate with others and be able to close deals or make appropriate changes.

How do written communication skills differ from verbal communication skills? What are the challenges a skilled verbal communicator might encounter when performing technical writing?

written communication that is used correctly and with the appropriate wording is different verbal communication because you have can a certain tone with written communication. With verbal communication you may have a tone to your communication which is not mean to be taken the way your tone may sounds, One of the biggest challenges a skilled verbal communicator might encounter is they may write how they may speak.
