1.1 Explain the benefits of knowing the purpose of communication

• For us as humans to be able to understand each other in different ways. • We use communication to learn or explain something to someone else • We use communication in a business environment to listen to others problems

1.2 Explain the reasons for knowing the audience to whom the communication is being presented

• If you know who your audience is you can make your communication with your audience more effective. • For example if it is a landlords who is your audience you need to target them by giving a leaflet that sells yourself well.

1.3 Explain the purpose of knowing the intended outcomes of communications.

• Knowing the intended outcomes of communications is very important because it informs me if that was the information the other person needed and if they were satisfied or needed more information.

1.4 Describe different methods of communication and when to use them

There are all different types of communication

Emailing- used in business’s easy to send a group message

Phone Calls when you need to tell someone information quickly

Texting to send a quick message

Sign Language when somebody is deaf

Faxing to send a across a document

Writing a letter if someone doesn’t have access to email and they need to be informed for example we would send a letter to one of our landlords or tenants if they don’t have access to email.

2.1 Identify relevant sources of information that may be used when preparing written communication.
