Wright positioned the house right above the horizon line, which gives the viewer a feel of invitation. It was as if the house was right in front of us. Perspective is also used well here. All the lines of the house leads to a vanishing point. The structure of the house is created with many rectangular shapes and horizontal lines. With this it gives the overall building a horizontal feel which emphasize a connection to the earth. The plants, trees, rocks that surrounds this building and the waterfall, definitely gave a organic feel to this house. The color used in this drawing is well chosen and used appropriately. Wright wanted this house to be in harmony with nature so the earthly-tone colors fits…

The piece is a small bedroom with doors in the middle of the left and right walls and a bay window on the wall directly in front of the viewer. These three walls are the only ones visible; one will see the room as if they were standing against the fourth wall. The walls are pale sea foam blue with the doors a contrasting darker smoky teal. The floor seems to be one piece with the slightest outline of hunter green to identify planks or tiles in the front right hand corner of the piece. The color of this floor is that of an old penny, a faded red with hints of orange with notes of deep sienna. The left wall bears a chair in front of the left door; this chair is a dark yellow kitchen chair with a darker mint green seat. Also hanging on the wall is a black non-descript hook containing a dark mint green towel. This towel bears a dark red trim creating a green margin on the end of this towel. Caddy corner to the left wall and the wall directly in front of the viewer is an orange washstand; this washstand holds a light blue decanter possibly made from class, this decanter is accompanied by a matching drinking glass. A wash basin and pitcher also accompany the decanter; the pair matches the smoky blue of the doors. A light brown, possibly pine toiletry box rests on top of the wash basin. On the far left of the wall…

When viewed in the exterior the shaft of the glass is supposed to balance the structure and maintain the house transparency. The towers corner casement windows open outward breaking down the box and making the corners vanish. All this blurs the lines between interior and exterior. With the windows like that it brings in the natural light in to the house and gives the viewer a better aspect of what surrounds Fallingwater. The first floor has a kitchen that has a Swedish AGA stove, red asphalt tiles, St. Charles metal cabinets, and a table. There is a sitting room for the servants which were built by the kitchen under…

My grandparents’ house is a good sized house with a small front lawn with a golf course across the street. At any time throughout the day, you can hear the sound of golfers hitting the golf balls whether it is the ring of teeing off or the thump of a fairway shot. The exterior of the house is mostly red brick house with some lighter bricks and some black bricks on the bottom and half vinyl on the top. The house has black shingles on the roof and black shutters for the windows. On the right side of the house, there is a long and wide black top driveway that my grandparents had added to the house themselves. This leads you to the first garage that is attached to the very right of the house. The driveway continues along to the side of the house where it leads to another larger garage and ten or so yards before that is a gate with a door allowing access to the backyard.…
