Factors Affecting the Poor Study Habit of Selected High School students of St. Paul College Foundation, Inc. Bulacao Campus S.Y 2013-2014

Introduction
Education plays an important role in our society. We must know that the purpose of education to person is to train him/her to learn how to formulate solutions to problems, how to grow independently, how to apply what they learned inside the classroom in their real life situations, how to understand things and make them useful to one’s life. As a student, we cannot learn simply by being told what to do or by watching others, we have to practice more. Learners must develop and established good study habit in doing school work, which can raised their academic performance. But the people nowadays especially the students perform poorly in school simply because they lack good study habits. In this cases, there are factors that’s affects their study habits. Such as technologies, amount of time they used for studying, family problems and many more. These factors surely affect their poor study habit. If their studying skills do not improve, students will continue to test poorly and not perform to their fullest potential.

Background of the study
Today’s generation students are more addicted in playing computer and gadgets, they become more lazy in terms in terms of studying and doing some works, reading some educational books. Because of that they tend to have lesser learnings from school and their mind has been poison by the toxic of computer games.
