Personal Goals
The Power of Personal Goals Life is a learning process, a puzzle especially in a student life which imposes much sacrifice and plenty of restless days. It is a way to help us, people, to become better individuals if we have the ability to recognize our weakness and strength. For that purpose, we have to walk through it as if we have something new to learn every time. In anything we choose to be or to do, our skills will make us achieve our goals or improve the areas where our weakness is noticed. That weakness, usually, can be overcome if our ability to realize a fact is known. Personally, obtaining a Master degree in Civil Engineering is my main goal because getting a high education level will give me an opportunity to be better in many ways. Since I was a child, I was fascinated with the world of buildings, roads, and bridges. I always believe that whoever wants to prosper and takes advantages of what life has to offer, needs to have any personal goals and sets barriers. As for me, being a Civil Engineer student gives me the hope that all my goals will be achieved because I don’t stop trying to pursue and to obtain them for years now. First of all, excellent academic achievement and positive image are some keys in my genuine passion, but also obtaining a diploma is extremely important because that “piece of paper” which is a trophy gained by hard work will be a symbol of my knowledge; and people will be based on it to qualify my me. In today’s engineering world, a Master degree diploma is a very important achievement if we want to give an impression in their society. However, there are so many big obstacles that I have to face before getting there. Those snags encircle my daily basis on which we can list the marriage life, economy and the time management. That is why I have to be as successful as possible by getting the maximum knowledge that I can

Life for me has been very interesting. I started off in the nursing field as a nursing assistant and patient care tech at 19 working my way through school both full-time and part-time until I finally graduated from Virginia State University with my Associate’s of Science Degree in Nursing. After accomplishing that goal I have reached somewhat of a plateau in my life I have so many short and long-term goals I want to accomplish both professionally and personally. Some of professional goals are, becoming a supervisor at my current job, obtaining my Advance Life Support Certification, obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, enlisting into the Navy Nurse Corps, becoming a Nurse Practitioner, and eventually one day becoming an Administrator of an Acute Care Facility. As well as having professional goals in life you should have personal goals. My short and long term-personal goals are; relocating to Chicago, Illinois, getting married, and having children. The typical American Dream. These goals are not far from my reach with self motivation and perseverance all of these goals can be accomplished.…

In this paper I will articulate my own philosophy to my success for years to come. I know that throughout my educational journey I will have many obstacles to face but eventually overcome in order to get closer to my goals. Also I acknowledge that learning new information is not going to be an easy task; but; one way that will help me with my learning abilities is relating the new information with previous information in every possible way as often as possible. Moreover, I will commit to show in my future tests and quizzes that I’m really capable in doing well. In the same vein, making wise choices such as staying at home studying and doing homework rather than going out and have fun will lead me to my success. If I want to achieve my goals I need to learn how to say no, for now education is my priority. Ever since I was a little boy, my mom used to tell me that I can be whoever I wish to be, as long as I go to school and really work hard. I am smart and I should not waste my passion for learning in something that will not take me anywhere. Furthermore, now that I am enrolled in college and have the opportunity that many does not, I feel compromise to show all the great things I can accomplish. Not to mention that I am motivated by my family, I have confidence on myself, I am focused, I am a hard working student; I know that I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goal. In addition, I can now say that I became more organized with college, homework, and anything related with education. I have always been an organized student and I will continue to do so. Defiantly, playing video games and watch TV are activities that I do once I am done with important duties; it is a rule that I commit myself all the time so that I can follow the right direction towards my education. I know that college is nothing like High School where students usually get away with their responsibilities by doing sloppy work, skipping class and not doing the…
