I heavily disagree with the dickenson county school board office, in their plan to extend our class time by an hour. With this in mind, the extending of school hours is out of the question for me, considering I already think seven hours is more than enough as it is. The people of the county should decide to stand up to the school board, and try to make them realize that some people do not have time for an extra hour. In this county, the majority of people are in poverty and do not have time to sit around at school for an extra hour. For one thing, the school board office should cut down the time we are supposed to arrive at school, from eight to nine in the morning.     Since the beginning of the school year, the district has been undertaking all the different ideas that the parents want for their kids to get more sleep. However, a later start shouldn't be the answer because it has numerous major conflicts with activities, free time, and other aspects that take part in teen and adolescents lives.
