Arkansas Should Have A Four Day School Week
I think the state of Arkansas should have a four day school week. We would have longer days, but we will have longer weekends. We will have shorter summer breaks. The students will also have more time on the weekends to talk to our friends on the weekends. More time to spend time with your family and less time doing home work. We would have more time for school work.

If a child is stressed out at the age of eleven, then he is not healthy. Many kids are too busy to have time to play creatively or relax after school. With all of the school children have to attend it is like they are in a race that never ends. Teens have reported that their stress levels are 5 out of 10, states The Huffington Post. Most children in America more stressed than American adults. When a child is stressed they are not going to do well in class.

Students are best served in a traditional school system. Just imagine what it would be like to have to go to school in the middle of what would be a traditional year round summer vacation. That is a reality for thousands of kids across the United States. This is why I believe that the traditional school system is more beneficial than a year round system. Year round schools have disruptive schedules, the day amounts end up being the same in year round and traditional school and, year round schools cost more to maintain and run year round.…

Should Portsmouth students go to school for four of five days a week? Portsmouth is a small school district in central Rhode Island. This town's council is not giving the schools enough money, so that is why there are so many budget cuts. Many of the decisions of the school system are pressured upon the school committee. This school's committee, like every school committee, has been elected to office by the parents and the town's people. Portsmouth should have a four day school week because the four day week saves money, provides extra opportunities for both parents and students, and gives students more time to get better grades.…

Some people claim that it will raise scores because of the idea students will be more attentive in school, thus increasing their intellect. Despite these claims, the test scores of students do not significantly increase or decrease. Similar to Beesley and Anderson 's suggestion, it seems that schools save money while maintaining comparable test scores. (The Four-Day School Week: Information and Recommendations, pg. 26). Overall, it seems as though the benefits of a four-day school week are strong enough for it to pull through despite the fact it doesn 't dramatically increase test…

Therefor I don’t think our school board should add time to each school day. I think we should keep our schedule starting at 7:30 and ending at 2:30. That way we can get home do chores, play and go to any afterschool activities. If we changed our school hours that would interfere with parents/guardians work schedules. Now with the schedules our school has we don’t get to restless with the teachers or other…

In the midst of strong debate, we hereby declare independence from the atrociousness of five days of strenuous schoolwork. School should only last four days per week. We should be let free of school at least three days per week which include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We need freedom from schools and need some sort of break from it. Sometimes we need some time to digest the information we have been taught from the previous school week. School should only last four days per week.…

There are many reasons why they should not add hours into the day. We want kids to be able to comprehend and get good grades. If anything the school board should later the morning time so kids won’t be so tired and lazy in the morning. Also, this extend time would interfere with family time, and it’s to long for kids to pay attention and comprehend the data given. Kids are not meant to be still and quiet for nine hours. It’s hard for kids now that have a disability to pay attention for less than eight hours, let alone nine hours. School Board would have to provide time for the kids to exercise, move around, and talk. This is just way too much to change and families are use to the school schedule already, no need to change and cause problems with family time and etc. Lastly, is the School Board willing to pay the teachers more and provide more for the students? Can they afford…

I think that starting the school day later would greatly benefit the students and teachers. if we started school at about say nine thirty in the morning instead of eight thirty or earlier, that would mean that most students wouldn't need to be awake in the morning till almost seven thirty to eight thirty and some kids could even wake up a little later then that depending on where they live. granite it is proven that high school students only need six to eight hours of sleep each night but there is always that few that never get the six to eight hours of sleep.…
