Should Kids Go To Year Round School Essay
Some people find it shocking that the U.S already has about 3,000 year round schools. People are debating if students should go to year round school. Some experts say it is better, some others say it is not. Should Kids have to go to year round school? Most believe they should. One reason kids should go to year round school is, some families don’t have the money to send their family on vacation or send their kids to summer activities. So kids will start getting lazy and all summer, every day kids will sit in bed all day playing on their electronics. In paragraph two, of An American Tradition it states that “Most days are spent inside and kids get no physical activity outdoors.” This proves that families don't have enough money to send their kids on vacation so kids should be at year round school. In An American Tradition, it says that, “Most mom used to work indoors and now that we have AC moms work outdoors, so they are at work all day where there kids are inside in bed all day.” This proves my point because, it explains that kids stay home alone indoors, doing nothing all day. Which makes them very unhealthy because they are getting no exercise. Kids should have to go to year round school, it keeps them on track and helps them …show more content…
It is also true that kids do need some time to build themselves back up from the stress of school. Also that they need time to spend with family and not on their homework. But, it is also true that if kids don’t go to year round school, they will forget the information they have learned before.
Kids should go to year round school. Students should go to year round school because most families can't afford summer vacations and activities so most kids sit in bed all day playing with their electronics. The U.S is also lagging behind its fellow countries and the U.S education level is going down. Therefore kids should have year round school. Most people think that this could help kids in more than one

I propose year-round schooling. Now before everyone gets riled up, let me explain the beneficial factors that contribute to year-round schooling. To begin, let me state the obvious. I think we all may agree that over the summer we tend to lose the information we have learned the previous year which are usually vital to succeed in the following class, such as how one needs to know the information they have learned in Algebra II in order to succeed in Pre-Calculus. Yet, if we attend school year round, there would be no large gap between the two school years therefore allowing us to retain the necessary information; which will allow us to have a greater chance for success in the new class.…

When the words “year-round school” are thrown out, many students will try and stop you right there and run away as quick as they can. A common misconception of “year-round schooling” is that it means more school, but actually it is just a rescheduling of the current traditional schedule. Instead of getting close to three months of break in the summer, the year-round schedule suggests having multiple shorter breaks throughout the year in order for students to retain more information and to help students from getting “burnt out” or losing focus from long periods of school without a break. Year-round schooling needs to be the new schedule for schools in the United States since it increases information retention with students, helps students keep an interest in school, and helps to avoid stress with students, which will improve students ' learning in school compared to the traditional schedule which most schools are operating on currently. Year-round schooling has been proven to not only help students retain information in-between breaks more efficiently, but also certain types of year-round schedules have actually been able to increase a school’s occupancy as well as increase students’ general interest in school.…

One of the major benefits of year-round school is that it aids students in a way that they can increase their overall grade. Students are less likely to forget what they have previously learned in school due to the lack of large breaks in the school year. Most importantly, there is more time. More time for school means more time can be devoted to each unit or section of material a teacher is covering. Less pressure to learn information in two weeks or even a month can help students apply their new knowledge to the long-term memory and gives more time for student to comprehend ideas in a more complex manor.…

Would a year-round school schedule improve students’ academic performance? There are many debates on whether schools should extend their educational calendar to a full year. While year-round school schedules have their share of benefits, there are also negative outcomes. People often claim the more the better, but what really matters is the quality, not quantity, of education. Year-round schooling should not be organized because students may develop health issues, wouldn’t be prepared for college, and students may miss out on other opportunities during the summer.…
