A Proposed Nightlife and Entertainment Venue

Above all, there are all kinds of natural wonders to explore. Apparently, everything a local or tourist is looking for is here. Nevertheless, when it comes to night life, there are a lot of options for those who seek for fun.

Nightlife in the archipelago of 7,107 islands is truly a big bash, considering how fun-loving and good-natured the Filipinos are. Bars and clubs have been mushrooming everywhere, especially in urban and metropolitan areas. Even hotels and resorts are hosting various gatherings to cater to the needs of the growing number of party animals in the country. Even during weeknights or an ordinary working day, Filipinos are always finding ways to relax and unwind. Most people now especially the young generation in today’s postmodern society tend to consume entertainment and nightlife as their way of defining who they are and their stand in their social lives. Aside from their career focus, most people identify themselves through showing off at the trendiest and most exclusive restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Arthur Dong, the author of the book attended this book talk to present his discoveries after immersing himself in collecting hundreds of evidences (images and objects) of that era over these thirty years. Forbidden City, USA captures various personal stories from the entertainers who worked in the nightclubs. Their experiences and aspirations are truly worth to be recorded and published as a book; it is priceless. Not surprisingly, people who came to this talk was mostly the older generations, they might come from the same era and are interested to know more stories that they did not go through, just like what I have thought. Before the talk, I have never been introduced any cultures about the Chinatown nightclubs, even though I am a Chinese. Thus, I am glad that I made a decision to come over with my study partner and got the chance to explore more Chinese cultures and their journey.…

Pinnacle Peak Hiking Area is a multipurpose, exercise trail used for both hiking and equestrians. It is a 1.75 mile one-way trail in Rio Verde, Arizona with breathtaking views of the Sonoran Desert from every direction. Because the trail is not a loop, there is a lot of traffic on the trail, especially during the fall and winter seasons and on weekends. Families specifically enjoy this trail because there is no way for their children to get lost; there is one way in and one way out, no confusing side trails for anyone to take. There are a few areas where people are tempted to cut corners when there is a lot of traffic on the trail. This is quite dangerous as the entire trail is up a mountain and someone could very easily slip and fall. To help prevent people from cutting corners, the management has strategically laid rocks and logs along certain corners so it is a lot harder for people to step outside these boundaries.…
