Writing Essay 2 : Distance learning is becoming an increasingly common mode of study. In what ways do you think that distance learning is a beneficial mode of study over traditional face-to-face education? Nowadays, the development of technology is advancing by strides. Distance learning becomes a familiar vocabulary for the general public. Because of its advantages, more and more students prefer to learn by distance learning instead of traditional face-to-face education.
At present, there are still lots of students have to travel for hours to go to school. It is really inconvenient for students who live far from their schools. By spending hours for travelling every day, it has wasted lots of valuable time of students from sleeping or reviewing. Unlike traditional education, distance learning provides students more ways to learn. For example, television, internet, radio, e.t.c.. As using of these technological devices, students can study and review in anytime, anywhere. It is much more flexible than face-to-face education. In additions, under the spoon feeding education, students were being restricted to a rigid schedule. Distance learning can save their time and provide a platform for them to do revision. Moreover, everyone has their own pace of learning. Using distance learning, students can learn in a way that most comfortable and suitable for them. This increases students working efficiency.
Besides of the learning method may benefit students, distance learning can also advantage students by broadening their horizons. As most of the distance learning is online education, students are not trapped inside the classroom. Online learning provides them more chances in meeting people with different nationalities and different cultures. This leads to improve their communication skill and enlarge their social networks.
