a) Differentiate between data, information and knowledge and provide an example to illustrate the differences.

DATA | INFORMATION | KNOWLEDGE | Data is the things that are not give any specific meaning or to give explanation of some activity that happened. Example: I have the computer. | Information is the things that have specific meaning or the activity can be explained because we know the meaning or value. The data has been organized to give output to recipient. Example: the computer is brand new and has in good shape. | Knowledge is the things that have specific meaning and value that can be explained or to give understanding to recipient clearly. It does also solve the problem in current situation or activity. Example: I bought this computer from electronic shop at Digital Mall, Petaling Jaya and the price is affordable. |

b) Differentiate between information technology infrastructure and information technology architecture. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE | INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ARCHITECTURE | The group of IT components are integrated to operate for entire organization. The IT components are hardware, software, database and network. | The sketch of high level map or plan of the information assets like blueprint is processes by Architect to measure and analyse the material or asset in organization. It also the information about guiding current operations and future directions. |

c) Discuss the business pressures that characterize the modern global business environment.
