The game consoles that Sony and Microsoft are producing are different the ps3 has a higher quality bluray player vs. the Xbox has a standard DVD red laser player. Thee Xbox has a well designed controller vs. the ps3 having a somewhat poorly designed controller. The Xbox has a better chance of playing SD rather than HD. The ps3 on the other hand has a best chance of playing HD than SD. The Xbox although cheaper is shown through its features because on the ps3 you have internet browser while the Xbox you do not have internet browser. In layman terms the ps3 is better.…

Accessorizing the systems is a minor point, but it is still there. The Nintendo 64 comes with four controller ports, so no additional purchase is necessary (besides the actual controllers). The Playstation, however, comes with only two controller ports. If additional ports were wanted, a multitap would have to be purchased. Which costs around twenty dollars to buy at the store.…

Nintendo chose to not make its video game consoles backward compatible because this meant that consumers would have to spend money on a new console as well as new games and thus create more revenue. The advantages to this were that they could possibly make a lot more money because of the necessity to sell new games with new systems. The disadvantages is that many people were not interested in having to spend extra money on new games if they were able to purchase a new Sega console that allowed them to use old games as well as new ones. This lead to Sega’s ability to surpass Nintendo in sales.…

Another reason why you shouldn’t buy videogames to your children is because you are enforcing them to isolate from the rest of the society. Do you think staying home playing video games instead of exercising or spending healthy time with friends and family is good for your children? It is NOT good; it is only making them live in an inexistent world, where they look just the way they want. A world full of violence, an inappropriate stuff; because a fact is that 60% of middle school boys have at least one Mature-rated game. And actually I believe most of the parents know that video games are not good, but they still prefer to use the easy way to keep they’re children silent and entertained at the same time.…
