Conscientiousness Case Study
Conscientiousness is when a person is more organized, punctual, has a higher desire for achievement, and is very dependable. A perfect example of conscientiousness would Amanda, who is our accountant in the cash office. Amanda’s job as an accountant at Belk are keep the books organize, order supplies and change, count money in registers and the vault, be dependable, and make sure registers are prepped for opening/closing. Extraversion is a when person is outgoing, sociable, and enjoys being in social situations. Extraversion would describe my position best as a sales associate and Karen Kane specialist. Sales associates are required to provide excellent customer service by taking the initiative to perform the top five customer service expectations:

Some manger could be on the low end of some can be on the high end of it and others are in between. It being a effective manager. The first one is Extraversion means the tendency to experience positive emotions and moods and feel good about oneself and the rest of the world. You might ask yourself what doe this mean. This is in most cases when a manger who is on the high end of extraversion they are often called extraverts and the tend to be sociable. Mangers who are on the low end of extraversion are often called introverts. And they tend to be less inclined toward social interactions and have a less positive outlook. Second one is Negative affectivity this means the tendency to experience negative emotions and moods, feels distressed, and be critical of oneself and others. Many times mangers with the high end of this trait often angry and dissatisfied and complain about their own and others lack of progress.     In the first assessment tool “What Is My Basic Personality?” the focus was on the five-factor model of personalities which are-extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience. Based off this evaluation, my basic personality indicates that I am moderately extroverted because I scored a ten. My conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience scores were high with a score of fifteen. My personality does indicate that I am someone who is agreeable because I scored thirteen. According to the analysis and interpretation, a high agreeableness and conscientiousness score indicates someone who “is good-natured, cooperative, and trusting” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9). A high conscientiousness score represents “someone who is responsible, dependable, persistent, and achievement oriented” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9). Also, a high emotional stability score indicates “someone who is calm, enthusiastic, and secures (Robbins 2007 pg.9). Finally, a high openness to experience score signifies someone who is “imaginative, artistically sensitive, and intellectual” (Robbins, 2007 pg 9). My score indicates that I have a positive emotional stability level, conscientious and openness to experience.
