I. Executive Summary
Photocopying centers provides a huge help to meet the school necessities of each student. These centers provide services such as photocopying notes, handouts and other printed materials . One of these photocopying centers also provide book binding services. There are 8 photocopying centers inside the university. One of these is located at Arts Building, three of them are in Science Building, one is in Education Building Pavilion, one in the Main Library and the last two is in the Nursing Building. The main problem that these areas are facing is the low quality of the output. Therefore, this paper has the objectives mainly focused on the improvement of the photocopying centers inside the university to avoid customer dissatisfaction. To come up with a recommendation, the researchers also gathered information on the profile of the competitors. Price index and different products offered are discussed on the competitor’s part of this paper. The researchers conducted a survey mainly to gather data regarding the awareness of the students about the various factors connected with the photocopying centers inside the university. The results of this survey are further discussed on the interpretation and on the review of the related literature. Fishbone diagram as illustrated on the last part of this paper shows the breakdown of the problems of area which relates to money, men, machine, materials and methods. Affinity diagram shows the scope of the area also in connection with money, men, machine, materials and methods. Tree diagram illustrates also the problems that the area are facing. After the researchers finished the diagrams, they have come up with the decision which includes the proposed suggestion for the improvement of the photocopying centers inside the university premise.
