BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
A Feasibility Study on Photocopying, Printing and General Merchandise in
San Pedro, Laguna

OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the study is the establishment of a commercial center offering copy, print, binding and other related services to students and professors, who are the target clients along with general merchandise. The objective will be reached by locating the commercial center in the vicinity of two Colleges in San Pedro, Laguna. The researchers would want to fulfill some other intermediate objectives such as, keeping a very low price for student services, but at the same time maintaining constant quality outputs and maximizing the equipment usage. The end objective is the obtaining of profit, which will allow for covering monthly expenses and extending the equipment line and services.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM Is photocopying, printing and general merchandising business would be helpful to customers within San Pedro, Laguna in providing services and supplies at a low cost?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY The reason why this study is significant can be explained from two aspects. First, several photocopy center within the vicinity of two Colleges in San Pedro, Laguna are offering similar services at a high cost. We, researchers tend to go with the study to offer services of higher quality and at a lower price which will benefit the targeted clientele. Second, the main nature of this study is photocopying which is being utilize by various institutions such as schools and offices, consequently the business is able to take advantage of such market opportunity to generate profit.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Since the advent of the printed word, the desirability of making copies or duplicates of documents by man has been on the ascendancy, the photographic reproduction of printed materials is now a common-place activity of educators, research workers, students and businessmen, indeed of people of all kinds, and for all kinds of purposes.
